The Waffle Chic Inc — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

I've been wanting to go here for so long and finally was able to do it this weekend. I made a reservation anticipating a wait since i knew it was small inside. My husband and I went there for Sunday Brunch, and to our happiness, we were the only ones in there. It's such a cute atmosphere feels like you're in someone's kitchen. Very clean and they cook right in front of you. We were able to bluetooth our own music, which my husband loved. It felt like we had our own personal chef.

The food was delicious. I had blueberry infused waffles with fried chicken. The blueberry butter added the perfect touch with the flavorful crispy chicken. My husband had chicken tenders with cinnamon waffles. Neither of us used any syrup. 😋

I definitely recommend anyone to stop by and enjoi this spot!! We will be back soon♡

Recommend for a lovely brunch spot or evening a great birthday spot with a small group.

I found the Waffle Chic online. Karen (owner) responded to my request to book her for services in a timely fashion. She stayed in constant communication with me regarding what menu items, cost and all details pertaining to the event. I had a backyard event. On the day of the event everything went smoothly. The food was AMAZING! I have southern roots, so my standards are high when it comes to fried chicken. They were definitely met! The summer salad was light and refreshing and of course the waffles were great. Her staff was also very friendly, patient and accommodating. They went above and beyond to ensure that I was satisfied with the services they were providing. I am also always happy to support black owned businesses especially when they are good at what they do. Karen and her staff are exceptional and I highly recommend...

The restaurant wasn't recognizable from the street side. There was a small sign in the window. The ambiance was underwhelming and felt like I was sitting in the middle of someone's kitchen. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. My issue with the food is that it was chicken tenders that were purchased in bulk and not freshly made. They also didn't offer many drink options. My biggest issue was that when we received our bill, it was double the price listed on the menu. When the waitress/cook/host was questioned about it, she stated the prices have been updated. That should have been posted or communicated to us prior to ordering. Very unprofessional, no wonder the place was empty. Clearly miss managed and understaffed. Very disappointed with...
