Venus Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

I've been coming to this restaurant for years with my kids and hubby. Recently, 3 days ago, my twin daughters and I stopped by for lunch. I don't know if the lady with glasses was having a bad day . She slammed my soup down on the table and spilled it. Then, the order was simple chichen Caesar wrap, Mexican omelet, and chicken greek salad. The food came, and she brought a Caesar salad . I said that's not what we ordered. She's like ok I fix it . Instead of getting the right order, she took the salad with croutons, etc, and put it in a wrap drenched with dressing . My daughter took her first 2 bites and said mommy this is horrible."" There are croutons in here, all soggy and mushy. Long story short, the bill came, and she charged us for salad plus the wrap . The front desk tried to correct the mistake . But plz don't get the order wrong. The charge is double and slam food down on the table. The waitress with the glasses is just rude and horrible person. this diner is extremely cute, welcoming, & has good food. my friends & i have been going to this diner for the past few months & we will continue to go. for the price of the food, it's hard to beat!

the staff is extremely nice & friendly. it has an "old school" diner vibe to it, which i love. the space is small, but my friends & i have never had to wait longer than five minutes for a table. the staff is extremely responsive, & are more than accommodating to what their customers want.

as for the food, it is really good! i've gotten eggs, pancakes, waffles, a sandwich, & french fries in the few times i have been there, & enjoyed most things. the only thing i was not a fan of were the eggs. but again, for the price along with the portions, it's hard to beat.

this diner is definitely one of my favorites, & i see myself continuing to go...

Food is great but won't be visiting again because customer service was terrible. All staff accept for one waitress and the cashier were extremely rude. Food was barely touched and was thrown out while bringing 4 year old to bathroom. They were about to seat another party at our table. Staff exhibited much frustration toward us for their mistake. Only asked to feed child afterwards and bring two chocolate milks. One milk was brought to table which waitress filled to top, slammed on table, and walked away with milk spilled all over. Bill included omelette which 90% of it was thrown in garbage...
