Allah's Kitchen & Catering — Restaurant in Town of Henrietta

I am writing this review to share my deeply unsettling experience with the owner of this restaurant. I recently had an encounter that left me both disturbed and disappointed, and I believe it is important to shed light on the true nature of this establishment.

Upon learning of the restaurant, I was initially impressed by the ambiance and the menu offerings and was also interested in working for the establishment in a management space. However, my positive impression quickly turned sour when I had an encounter with the owner. In what seemed like a friendly conversation, the owner tried to entice me with a job opportunity. I was flattered at first, but soon realized that this was a ploy to take advantage of me as a female.

The owner would call my cell phone in the late hours to discuss the company and what my role would be but never followed up with any actions that would lead to a start date. Then the owner would start calling more and more late in the night. I had already made it clear that if he was not ready for me to start, to communicate that so I can pursue other opportunities. The owner then told me it was okay to quit my current job.

It became evident that the owner's intentions were far from genuine employment. The conversation took a disturbing turn as he began calling me very early in the morning hours (12am and 1am) to complain about his wife. After I confronted him about this he stopped returning my calls and has since disappeared. This was not only disrespectful but also made me feel extremely uncomfortable. It became clear that he was not interested in my qualifications or skills, but rather in exploiting his position of power.

This experience was not only unprofessional but deeply unethical. No one should have to endure such behavior, especially in a place that is meant to provide hospitality and a welcoming environment. It is disheartening to think that the person at the helm of this establishment could engage in such manipulative and predatory behavior.

I urge anyone considering visiting this restaurant to think twice. Supporting a business with such an owner condones their unethical actions. Considering the Muslim “faith based” nature of the organization, one would have expected better. I hope my review serves as a warning to potential patrons and encourages the owner to reflect on their behavior and make the necessary changes.

First off: I really love how you are greeted when you walk into this establishment. They say “ peace”; which to those who “ see” kind of defuses any negative energy or negativity walking in. I love that.

Food is exceptional. I’m new to the vegan/vegetarian lifestyle, and I simply do not like most of the options on the market or in restaurants other than salads and other basic things. Most vegan meals taste like cardboard and dread ( in my opinion). I feel blessed to have discovered a place that sells nourishing meals that taste great! On top of that, the owner and the employees are kind and energetic. I love it here! In the photos below, I have the Rasta Pasta (10/10) that i devoured while sitting in my car on a zoom meeting.I almost didn’t believe that this dish was vegan. It was so creamy and cheesy and the flavors were those of the authentic Rasta pastas full of cream, cheeses and meat. This dish was so good that i went back to this restaurant and I ordered more food for my dinner; which is what you see in the second photo with the blue background. In my opinion, which I am so pleased to give! Allah’s Kitchen serves the best, most perfectly seasoned, and prepared vegetarian meal I HAVE HAD IN ROCHESTER! I have been living here for 5 years but 15 years in NYC left me carrying a high bar for not only great tastes but Healthy food.. and here it is at Allah’s Kitchen! And Yippee they are in my neighborhood! Easy to get to from anywhere,right off of 390, but I would drive a long way to eat here again! I really think Allah’s Kitchen needs a 10 Star rating review! We ordered Beyond Goulash, with sides of Coconut brown rice, Kale & Spinach, Plantains, and House cut French fries along with the most delicious fresh Red juice to hit my palate in a long time! And considering the extremely generous portions (I had coconut brown rice, kale and spinach for breakfast) we were elated at having leftovers today!
