DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE BECAUSE IT IS SO OVERPRICED! My mom and I went to get lunch from here one day and we both regretted it. We got manti which was $20 so we were expecting to get a lot. But no we merely got a bowl of manti. There was so little meat in it, it was like eating dough with sauce. Overpriced and garbage. I got a cheese pide which is basically bread and cheese and it was $14???? It was like 8 pieces like half of a pizza slice. I could have just gotten a large pizza for cheaper. Enough with the food, the service here was horrible. I came here a couple times before with my family. I ordered french fries. I got all the other things I ordered but my fries. I waited a few minutes and asked where my fries were and they said they forgot and they will make it for me. I wait another more 15 minutes and I still did not get my fries. I left the place without it. The visit with my mom I ordered fries again and I get everything I ordered but my fries again. This place is just garbage do not even come here, I have not really tried much of the pastries so I can’t tell you about those but if you are Turkish, fine eat here but if you are just looking for somewhere to eat or a halal restaurant, there are better places. (Music also keeps playing which is annoying because...
Read more1 star out of 5 stars Not Worth the Price or the Attitude I recently tried this restaurant and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. I ordered three different dishes and two of them were extremely salty to the point of being hard to eat. When I politely asked if the chef could do anything about the saltiness I was told flat out “This is how we make it. You like it you like it. You don’t like it that’s what we have.” No effort to accommodate no apology just attitude.
To make things worse the food is way overpriced for what you’re getting. The customer service was also frustrating. Most of the staff didn’t speak English and I had to repeat my order multiple times. I asked for one dish and somehow ended up with three of the same one. Eventually they had to call over one English speaking staff member just so I could explain the issue.
I’ve been to many restaurants and I’ve never had one refuse to fix or at least acknowledge a food complaint like this. If I could give zero stars I would. I do not recommend this place. Save your money and go somewhere that actually cares about food quality and...
Read moreI just found out about As Evi and stopped in today to get takeout and check out the bakery. And, I’m so happy I did! I have just recently been discovering Turkish cuisine. I think it’s often overlooked, but it shouldn’t be, they have some amazing food.
I got a mixed grill so I could try different things. All of it was delicious—lightly-spiced, flavorful meats, which were cooked perfectly, not dry at all, a nice rice pilaf, fresh salad and some sliced bread.
I also had to try some of their baked goods, all of which I was told, are made in house. Again, I wasn’t disappointed. All of the cookies are wonderful and so is the little chocolate cake I got.
I’ll also add that the people there are so friendly and welcoming. Whether you’re interested in Turkish cuisine or just need some good bread and baked goods, you should check them out. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!
It’s wonderful to have another ethnic restaurant and bakery in the area and I wish As Evi the best of luck! I’ll definitely be a...
