This was my first adventure into this restaurant. I am really struggling at saying there was anything positive about this event, beyond the smell of other people's food. Looking at and smelling other food that people were enjoying, I can attest that we ordered the wrong thing. The falafel looked on point--but greasy. The fresh flat bread looked and smelled great. All the smells were so good.
Accessibility-mixed to poor. This restaurant is on the first floor. It is in an old style plaza where you can park pretty close without handicap plackard. there are no dedicated spots close to the restaurant, but all of the spots are closer than your average new plaza with copious quantities of curb. I did not notice where the roll up curb portion was in relation to the door. The gradient for entrance is completely flat, but there are two sets of doors that may require assistance. Where the accessibility problems begin. This restaurant has a standing cue with no paper menus available and two giant TV screens with the menu. The menu type was a little small but more so problematic one screen flickered and went dark every 20 seconds? meaning if you have visual impairment, trouble with visual continuity, or migraines you may face unnecessary hurdles. It would have been nice to have a paper menu to look at seated to make a dining decision. I am bipedal but disabled and have trouble standing and even more trouble making decisions while standing. I also have trouble looking at TV screens for reading. Put both things together and ordering was a nightmare. If practicing a limited diet due to allergies or other dietary issues, none of the dishes had descriptions of ingredients included or if the dish baked or fried or otherwise.
The counter girl was texting and seemed frustrated by my menu confusion. I also have a slight problem when the menu quotes me $9.99 and the cost ends up being $14.99--enter more confusion. I can understand if they are on the cusp of changing prices and getting new menus but there was no note of warning ANYWHERE and I feel a little baited and switched. Then, for the food to be terrible.
Due to all this ordering confusion, In a sea of options with no description of ingredients, spanakopita seemed safe. I ordered the wrong thing. It was the same triangles I could buy from Trader Joe's but I would NEVER deep fry them. They were oily, heavy, singed, and disgusting. not to mention the evening of agony to follow. I don't eat fried foods. Spanakopita is supposed to be a light crisp pastry. The taziki had no cucumber and was just dill yogurt, not bad but not good and nothing to recommend it. The hummus was freaking divine.
I don't know that they will fix their menu display. I don't know that they will update their pricing on their menu display. I don't know if they plan on having paper menus around in the future. I don't know if they will include descriptions of their meals including ingredients on future menus be they screen or paper. But these things are what I would need to be able to pick out a suitable meal and dine here successfully. The accessibility issues for this restaurant mean I will not be returning. It's just not worth putting good...
Read moreThis restaurant was both good and bad but I think the cons outweighed the pros To start off with the good part: The burgers were really good. It was freshly made and tasted amazing
The bad Me and a party of 11 went here after hiking in Watkin Glenn,on our way there we preordered 30 minutes early while driving there at around 8:15. We got at the reasturanr at around 8:40ish. When we got there, they completely forgot about our order. Uh okay not a huge deal, we would just have to wait 30 minutes for food. Me and 2 others explored the plaza which had an awesome board game store (if your into it). We spent about 35 minutes and when we came back our order was still not done. We then proceed to wait even longer, when asked about our order we were met with itâll be done soon. When asked for a specific time it was always 10 minutes. It wasnât. We asked multiple times too. In total we waited until it was around 10 oâclock. At this point people were getting really hangry and we didnât know when it was coming so we were about to leave until four burgers came out. One person in the party then asked whyâd it take so long. The waiter responded with they are very understaffed right now and only have one cook, she explained we arenât fast food so itâs hard. Okay understandable, another person says weâll if that was the case why didnât you not except our order when we called. She responded by saying that was a different girl on the phone and she told her not to except. Uhhh what? I donât know but Iâm not sure you should do that. On top of all this there was no compensation for this at all. As mentioned the burgers were good, but not worth the wait. Also the ghost pepper burger had next to no spice in it. There are other places I would rather go...
Read moreAmazing place! I wasn't expecting the Burger menue to be my most favorite in a Kebab place. I tried the Curry burger with American cheese instead of mild feta and chicken gyro platter and got a sweet tea from the fridge. The burger was delicious. The bun is soft and it has a unique "kebaby" flavor. The platter was great, too. It came with rice and hummus with adequate ratio between the.chicken and the rice (the chicken covered all the rice). Definitely a place I would recommend. My only complaint was the tea I tried from the fridge. It was a new brand I didn't recognize but I thought I would like to try. It tasted like honey which is not good for an iced tea (at least for me). However, in all fairness, they have other juice options from the fridge or prepared by the store but I haven't try them.
Quick notes: *Maybe I will try their drinks options when I order from them (they provide store delivery as well as Uber Eats and GH, too.)
*My order was for take out, but I noticed that they have good space for dine in.
*the burger took longer than the platter to prepare. But all in all it didn't take that much time about 10 minutes or less (the store wasn't busy, but they could be preparing for deliveries).
*like other reviewers may have pointed out, the staff argue between each other quite a bit which could be annoying or unsettling for some especially if dining in. It looks unprofessional and could be because of inexperience. It happens in all restaurants but they don't show it. I believe it is something that could change over time and the staff just doesn't realize that they are heard. (I didn't talk to them about it because I wasn't aware that it might be an...
