Salvatore's — Restaurant in Town of Herkimer

Had dinner ordered for pick up from here (7/25/22). We ordered a large pizza and 30 everything wings and an antipasta salad. When we received our order, the wings were not crispy at all and there was not any sauce in the containers. The pizza looked and tasted old. The antipasta was half full. When we called to complain, the owner was very rude and gaslighted us and said "we only cook the wings long enough to cook them through, if you wanted them crispy, you need to ask for them crispy and ask for extra sauce." After we drove down for the second time, we arrived to pick up the sauce, the owner continued to be rude and handed us two wimpy containers of sauce, all the while he said "I have been doing this for 30 years, I know what I am doing" and claimed to tell his staff to add more sauce to the containers. I would not recommend this place at all. Their service was horrendous and there are plenty of other pizzerias in the area that you can go to that offers better quality...

I LOVE Salvatores❤️👍 Since I’ve been back in this area I needed to find a great pizza place. I’ve know about Sorrentos in Ilion and enjoyed their pizza and other Italian dinners. Which were delish. I live in Herkimer, so I wanted something very close. We tried Salvatores for pizza and we love it! Then we tried other sandwiches and take out which were excellent. Recently we tried some dinners. I had the Chicken Francaise and my husband had Broccoli Alfredo. Wow they aren’t kidding when they say their Alfredo is the best in town . Both dinners were great. We even used them for catering. So this was my first order from this place, the Pizza with extra sauce was good, however the wings were some of the worst I've had, almost to crispy to eat, which we asked specifically not to, we also asked for extra sauce in the wings, which hardly has any sauce, as much as we pay for this you would think they would at the very least do what the customer asked, so food I'm giving a 2 , service also a 2 because of the few reasons I gave, atmosphere was nice, we didn't eat there just picked up so I'm giving 4 on that it looked nice, we can't let them know first that we do reviews lol or it wouldn't be...
