Service: Ive looked at the reviews for this place online, and unfortunately i have to say i was Severely disappointed
Not only was the food bad but the owner got into it with my mother over asking for a clean fork that had not been sitting on the table. its a fork how hard is it to grab a clean fork seriously? i then proceeded to have to hear my mom complain about the owners response to her being (theirs a fork right their honey and napkins to which had been sitting out on the table for who knows how long) you know some people are self conscious about that kind of thing and my mother is no idiot so talking down to her as if she had not seen the forks and napkins you had sitting on the table. your kidding me right? My mom is self conscious about hygiene so whys it such a hassle to be given a clean fork from the back then? I proceeded to then have to hear my mom complain for a half hour while we ate about how rude the owner was to her.
Food: The food, i have ate at a whole lot of places in my life time but this food was just wrong the home fries felt under-cooked the omelette you know you pay 15 dollars for an omelette you expect a decent omelette the omelette was a small dinky thing that looked like a rectangle and to top it off low quality cheese was used and the ingredients inside were not cooked enough sure the ham was but i could tell even that was low quality ham you could probably microwave. The only thing decent i ate was the bacon.
Final Comments: I sincerely regret coming to eat here what should of been a good afternoon was ruined by poor management, and a terrible breakfast. maybe this used to be the spot but from research i have already done on the place you may be short staffed but it gives no room for the following.
Rudeness Poor service over priced Poor quality food
Overall results: 1 Star
Reasoning: Rudeness - 1 star Poor service - 1 star poor quality of food - 1 star Overpriced for what you...
Read moreWe are local residents. I have been in the area for 5 years and have never been there, my fiance born and raised in the area so he had been there before. My fiancé decided to take me for breakfast. My plate was over $15, it was suppose to have tater tots in the breakfast meal, which I did not received. I didn't say anything. Then my fiancé went to put jelly on his toast. One of his jelly had a used jelly (from some else's plate) stuck under a jelly that has never been opened. That is nasty, the germs. Well he did not finish his breakfast, his was a $15 breakfast plate as well. I waited on the waitress to come around. She came around and stopped to pick a plate up and I said, excuse me I wanted to let you know about the jelly. I explained the jelly in a nice manner, because it may not be her fault. The waitress response was a quick rude ok and continued on. Never got an apology or offer to replace the meal ....never asked if he needed another jelly at that. The next time she returned to the table was to drop the bill. First time experience is the last. Which is a shame because it is a small town diner...
Read moreI grew up going to Sugar & Spice and always make a point to make a stop when I come home for a visit. I think my most recent trip will be my last.
I ordered a veggie scramble and coffee. Based on the menu, the scramble was $12-13 and the coffee was $2.75. I was expecting to pay ~$15 for breakfast. When the bill came the scramble was $15. When all was said and done, breakfast came to $23.
I know the economy isnât great and times are tough, but when you post one price in the menu and charge a higher price on the bill you lose the customerâs trust. After this last visit I felt really taken advantage of. I sadly donât think Iâll be back.
Edit: I did not order any upgrades or surplus items. I ordered exactly what was on the menu. I understand prices have gone up which is fine. But if a veggie scramble is $15 then it should be on the menu as $15. If I had known it would be a $23 breakfast I would have ordered...
