The food here is incredible. Cefalù is hands down some of the best Italian food that I’ve had in New York in a long time. We ordered everything to share, and to start we had the Cacio e Pepe bites, the crispy delicata squash rings, crispy calamari, kale Caesar salad. The Cacio e Pepe bites are a delicious twist of fried Mac and Cheese meets a classic Italian rice ball. The squash rings were fried to perfection served with a Calabrian chili aioli that wasn’t too spicy but had the perfect amount of flavor. For our main course we ordered the Spicy Rigatoni Alla Vodka, Cacio e Pepe, Lobster Mac & Cheese, Short Rib Cavatelli, Brussel Sprouts, and the Stinger Pizza. All I can say is WOW. The Spicy Rig was chefs kiss and served with a generous portion of fresh burrata on top. The Cacio e Pepe had the right amount of cream with the perfect blend of black pepper and pecorino Romano cheese. The short rib in the Cavatelli was braised to perfection and the meat was tender. The Lobster Mac and Cheese was so creamy and had chunks of real lobster tail (for $19 you really can’t beat the quality of ingredients and portion size on this!). The Stinger pizza is a great combo of sweet and savory. It has spicy soppressata, fresh mozzarella, and a drizzle of hot honey. The Brussel Sprouts were crispy and charred and had this wonderful orange citrus honey drizzled over them. Even though we were stuffed, we had to have dessert. We ordered cheese cake (absolutely amazing and came with cannolis) and the brownie with ice cream. Needless to say, we left stuffed but we left beyond happy and satisfied with this amazing meal.
Not only was the food incredible, but the staff treated us like family. The owners Joe and Riccardo were so friendly and all of the waiters and bar staff were attentive and kind. They gave us super cute stickers that said “Best Za in Town” and I’d have to agree with that statement!
We sat on the bar side of the restaurant, which was more casual, but there is a private dining side that is perfect for family parties and more formal gatherings. The restaurant was very clean and so was their restroom.
I’ll definitely be coming back and bringing my whole family. Major kudos...
Read moreLove love love this place! I came across it searching for another restaurant online and I am so glad I did. It’s Sicilian cuisine which is rare in Huntington and Long Island for that matter. We Went for lunch today and everything was amazing. Allie was at the bar and our server, we sat by the bar as there was a private party in the main dining area. Allie was so nice, very friendly and great with suggestions she also continued to check on us. Joe the owner was there and we said hello and chatted a bit super friendly. His brother Ricardo is there running the line again great guys with respect. The Vibes in here are very welcoming, laid back, warm and cozy it was decorated for Christmas and there were lights all over so beautiful. I love the decor from movies to sports and pictures of Sicily. The Godfather picture was my favorite..
The spicy vodka rigatoni is a must try! Fresh tasting, The sauce is perfection..With the Buratta mozzarella on top, it’s heaven. Also as an app ask for The Panelle (fried chick pea fritters) it is a Sicilian staple and the only place I’ve managed to find them are in my old neighborhood in Brooklyn. They were crisp sprinkled with grated cheese and lemon to squeeze on top Mmmmmm along with some potato croquettes. My brother in law got the chicken parm and it was very tasty the chicken was tender as well. I cannot wait to go back and try some more dishes, the pizza looks serious. I highly recommend coming here for lunch or dinner.
12/25/23 We catered a few dishes for Christmas and it was beyond expectations the shrimp oreganata and flounder were amazing along with the house salad. I don’t know what’s in the salad dressing but I was dipping my Italian bread in it. Delicious!!! Very fairly priced. Highly recommend.
12/31 We had New Year’s Eve dinner here and it was amazing! Baked clams were like butter so delicious and my scallops entree special were an amazing combination of flavors. The limcello lemonade is a great cocktail not too sweet refreshing and it...
Read moreI have been to this restaurant four times each time I’ve had different prices for the slice of pizza that I ordered First off, slices are somewhere around 350 anywhere in Huntington
the first time I went there they charge me $4.50 (bold) The next time I went, it was $4.30 Told: “just give you four dollars”
Today…. I ordered two slices ( always cold to take home)
and I was told it was eight dollars.
I gave him a $20 bill, and he couldn’t find the change in either of the two registers which is a little concerning for a variety of reasons
He was trying to takie money out of the tip jar to fix the problem (only $1 and pennies ) then gives me back $11.25 And then he says oh it was $8.69 after he told me was $8 I don’t remember ever being charged tax for slices of pizza. And I looked it up… they doubled the tax
It’s usually included I know that.
Many things include tax afterwards, but pizzas always been that thing and still is 99.999% that thing that is just the price
He’s fishing around for money out of the tip cup and shorts me eight cents
(now I’m obviously annoyed )
I want my eight cents and then gives me an extra 5 I will never go back to them for pizza
I only went back because it was so convenient for my situation today
20% overpriced
So disappointing because one of the first times I went there., I sat outside and had a great experience,
I am always the first person to share restaurants with people. People text me and ask me for my advice about places to go, and this is not the place to go...
