Picolo Mondo. Another Great Night.

There is something about Picolo Mondo that keeps people coming back for more.

Maybe it’s the warm greeting with a smile 😊 from Roland at the door 🚪, or maybe it’s the expert serving staff makes you feel so special, or maybe it’s just that their chef knows how to make any dish 🍛flavorful and exceptional.

For me, it’s all of the above ⬆️ .

I started with a smoked 💨 old fashioned 🥃. They make it better than anyone see the pic of the presentation.

I started with an eggplant 🍆 Parmesan 🧀 appetizer. It was light 💡 and balanced on a light béchamel sauce. It was delightful.

My friends each had a salad 🥗 one of which was a special of shaved 🪒 Brussels sprouts 🌱 which looked amazing.

For a main dish, I had the scallops 🦪 wrapped in prosciutto 🍖 on a bed of creamy risotto 🍚. The sweetness of the scallops with the Smokey, 💨 savory prosciutto was a great 👍 combo all mellowed with the creamy goodness of the risotto. Just perfect.

My wife had the Cesarecce Pasta 🍝…short pasta twists with a Wichita wine 🍷 sauce, crumbled Italian 🇮🇹 sausage, fennel 🥬 , caramelized onions 🧅, topped with pistachio nuts 🌰. Can you imagine it…? Yes, it was that good.

Our friends had the Parmesan French Chicken 🐔 Picolo. A very hearty dish! Lightly breaded, with whipped Yukon Gold potatoes 🥔, a side of Brussels sprouts 🌱, in a wild 🤪 mushroom 🍄‍🟫 Marsala sauce. So good and such a big portion, they wound up taking at least half of it home 🏡.

We shared deserts. A refreshing sorbet 🍨 and a cheesecake 🍰 with blueberries 🫐 topped with a strawberry 🍓 drizzle. 🌧️. And whipped cream It was yummy. 😋

We were there for our son's nd daughter in laws wedding dinner . W e enjoyed the restaurant however our waiter was the most rudes person I have ever come to see .Very unprofessional for such an upscale restaurant..you have to wonder if it was because of the wedding nd he was earning a set price from the house or just him nd them.?? ..it's a reflection on Piccolo Mondo .nd I'm sure that's not what they want to hear never the less they got all their monies either way.He didn't give us a second to put our orders in nd got agitated with that then he had a few comments about what people were ordering. Our salads were taken away before we could finish not even asked if we were done ??? Same with some of our guest appetizers ..Some of the guest chicken dinners didn't even look the same ?? The restaurant should show restitution for this ..It was a wedding nd we were there to Celebrate the Happy Couple which we did but not your staff this was a chore for them.nd a shame on the owner...

We went there recently. I decided to give it a couple of weeks before posting. I wanted to see if my opinion mellowed because I was angry! We arrived and were seated promptly. Food was good, BUT the time that it took for the food to arrive was ridiculously long! So long in fact, that they came over and apologized for the delay, 3 times! And folks that's not even my main complaint! After the food finally arrived, during our dessert, they came over to table and stated that they were a small restaurant AND THEY NEEDED OUR TABLE!! So insulting!!! For the record, just in case, we had eaten quickly and we had to dash back to Manhattan! They wanted us to gobble down our desert and move to the bar! Dear management, when you screw up the timely delivery of food, you don't then come out and try to move the customer to the bar.
