BiVio Ristorante — Restaurant in Town of Huntington

While the dinner meal was better than expected, the waitress was by for the most condescending and rude employee at almost any restaurant I've been to in years. Well our party had four adults and five children, I would say that the other patrons at the restaurant thought the kids were handling the evening out very well. The waitress however was rude from the start, basically angry that we were not fast enough to order, she appeared to go out of her ways to help other patrons and not our group, was condescending when we continue to point out that we had six desserts associated with pasta night, versus five. She she even got to the point of saying that we were being insistent on getting the 6th dessert and she just accept five because she couldn't do math. Well we did in the end get six desserts, I do not know if she had any say over the portions, but the cheesecake slice was a half for a third of a regular slice, the cannoli had filling piping on both ends but none in the middle, but at least the vanilla ice cream was a game winner. My wife is adamant that we will never return to this restaurant or do to the arrogance of a single staff person, whose attitude did not seem to be a new thing at this job. waiter or waitress was on the job that evening and it served our table, I do not doubt that we would both recommend the restaurant and likely revisit the restaurant in the future. I've gone to Bivio, Huntington, a number of times and tonight was so different. I went with 2 other people, a bit early for our reservations, and upon arrival we noticed a party has just ended because there were a number of people on the outside leaving. The persons I went with, went in first and I was behind them. They were greeted warmly by a waiter and when it was my turn he asked "will you be eating here as well..oh ok" and ushered me along. I am truly very naive when it comes to discrimination. I was talking to another person who was with us about what happen and she was the one who questioned his behavior. I was truly disappointed because I have never been in a situation of that nature, but who knows maybe I have without knowing. So to that waiter who walks with a limp, who asked that question, yes I did eat there tonight and I believe if someone enters the restaurant their intention is to eat, the same goes for a black person who enters and I'll be back but I'll be on the look out for you. And I truly hope the great service that has always been provided will be given because tonight the service...

Went here to enjoy a family meal and I have to say the service was awful. Took 10 mins to get someone to take our drink order and I had to remind the waiter that we still needed menus. After those arrived we ordered everything at once including drinks, appetizers and entrees. We asked for the children’s food to come out beforehand with our appetizers. The kids food came but they forgot one of our appetizers. After waiting another 20 mins we asked where it was and it was clear it has to be “reordered”. Still didn’t show after another 15. The kids were done with their food and I said forget it. We left and we charged $90 for 3 small bowls of pasta for the kids, one appetizer and one glass of wine. UNREAL! I’ve been wanting to dine here for a year and finally got around to it... never again! I’ll go to Spuntinos down the street for amazing customer service and...
