Carlo's Pizza Oven of Holbrook — Restaurant in Town of Islip

Ordered from this place a handful of times over the years, sometimes on grub hub sometimes direct. When my order is wrong or there is an issue I’m always met with an attitude. I’ve been told my incorrect order is my fault (I ordered pepperoni pizza and it came plain) I’ve ordered through grub hub for delivery only to have to get it bc after multiple calls they realized it was still at the pizzeria supposedly because it came through as a pick up but they wouldn’t let me see the form and then tonight their delivery person delivered to the wrong address and I had to call Grubhub to get my money back which is fine but I was told I’m disappointed with grub hub not them when it was their delivery person who completely messed up the order. This is also after we called bc the order never arrived and it was an hour after we ordered. At that time he said the guy would be there in a few minutes we called 20 minutes later to be told he would be there in a few minutes to call again to be told he left 20 minutes ago and would be there in a few minutes. The delivery guy happened to walk in while I was on the phone and said he delivered to wrong address. I 100% had an attitude bc it is now 1.5 hours since I ordered and the only thing I get told is we can cancel or make a new one and that I’m disappointed with grub hub….he also refused to give his name so I can include it in the review. food is good but not good enough to deal with long delivery times and no attempt to make up for the mistake and an attitude...

Absolute joke of a place. Poor management, poor customer service, extremely rude and unprofessional workers behind the counter. I went to pick up an order that I was told would be ready by a certain time. I waited 10 minutes after the time that they said it would be ready by I go up and I asked an elderly lady Behind the counter and she said it would be only a couple more minutes. I waited an additional 5 to 10 minutes ask another worker she stated I’m not sure let me look into it. It turns out that they did not even start my order yet so I said to them hey you guys said it would be ready at this time it is over 15 minutes past that time and a younger Spanish skinny girl with glasses gave me the worst attitude and said I don’t know what to tell you come back later or don’t. Excuse me, Miss you guys stated it will be done by a certain time I gave you guys an additional 15+ minutes and at that you still didn’t even get it done so I would have to wait an additional 20 to 30 minutes. Unacceptable from watching these workers work while I wait I will tell everyone to steer clear and as well to call the health and safety board because the lack of respect they have for cleanliness and food. customer service 101- FAILED HERE.

I ordered food online, which consists of a very simple order. large pizza half cheese half mushroom. when I got home to enjoy the food, I open it up to half cheese half pepperoni, which is not what I ordered. I called them up immediately, waited way too long to get someone to give me response. I explained to him The order was wrong and I'd like to have the right pizza I paid for. he said bring it in. I was like what, you want me to bring back a pizza in that they messed up on? so they can eat it themselves? I asked what he can do, and I had to force it out of him to please make me the right pizza that I ordered. sounds like this guy was basically rushing me off the phone. I called again 10 minutes later to make sure that the pizza was ready and correct, and the young lady said yes. upon arrival to get the food, this bald guy gave me the pizza, I opened up to reassure that it was right one he says it's mushroom in there. I said politely thank you for fixing that, and he turned his head and said nothing to me. no apologies no accountability. The food wasn't even that great after all. This place lost my business for good. anyone in the Holbrook area, you better off going to Mama Lombardi's. Way better food, and more courteous...
