Wonderful Italian cuisine, attentive waiters...strike that...not unlikeable waiters on a slow night because it snowed. When they weren't leaning against the wall across from us they were attentive and prompt. Better than Olive Garden. They will not bother you unless you do a gentle wave in their direction. I actually like not being interrupted when on a date and in deep conversation with her when she exclaims after reading the menu: "Honey, I had a coupon for five dollars off at the Chinese place down the street. We could have gone there." Guys who love their gals will never show the pain emanating from beneath their wallets, as all the weight from the currency is lifted from them. I thought, "Oh, oh...she saw the menu before I could hide it from her". If this happens to you, don't even argue; do not. Tell her she deserves the pampering, then grin and bear it.
So it worked out fine. I lived another day.
We had the veal which could have fed a family of four. In fact, she took the little creature's remains home in a square foam doggy bin because the portions were titanic. (No, not the ship that sank.) No ribbon included around the doggy receptacle. Now, if you are a hardworking guy with a beautiful wife and adorable kids, and your paycheck is spent before the next payday...this place is very pricey and may not be for you. You will not have beer to go with your football game. For a year. The occasion should be very special or you will consider playing on the highway while blindfolded if you did not know that their rating should be...$$$ to $$$$, not $$ as advertised on Google Maps. Anyone who equates the affordability of Da Noi with McDonalds must be economically indifferent with the budget of a brain surgeon. It would not dent his wallet. That's for sure! Am I whining? Okay maybe a little. I digress...speaking of "specials".. the appetizers and salad were wonderful and indeed special (escargot, 13; mussels, same price. Double yum!!!). Two hundred and ten dollars with the generous tip. Yep. More than Tellers, Verace, or the Blackstone from my gastronomic experiences on Long Island. Like a serious speeding ticket. Note: The guy reading the encyclopedic special list deserved the tip because of his efforts. He really did. Alfonso was impeccable in his manner and personality. What a memory! I can't even remember if there is butter in the fridge at home... when the door is wide open and I'm peering in. He recited a litany of delights I swear took ten minutes. I was rapidly aging by the minute. If you read the menu online, the prices seem reasonable...the specials litany will distract you from your mindfulness exercise to not spend extravagantly. You won't stand a chance, I'm telling you! Alfonso will have you asking him to choose for you due to your state of information overload. Now, here it comes. Drum roll...the two veal chops were ninety dollars! They were very special, especially to the animal who once used them to walk. In all fairness, delicious and mouth wateringly tender with just the right seasoning. This unassuming, low lit, romantic restaurant still gets a perfect rating because of the food quality and good service. I would definitely go again despite...

Read moreCame in on a Friday with my friend and we sat at the bar, we had one of the best times because of the owner George. The entire staff was amazing and friendly, great family restaurant they made us feel like part of the family, a cozy place the kind of place you can spend hours eating and drinking and that’s exactly what we did. We decided to go with George’s recommendations since he was also the chef, we had 6 meals because my friend and I can put down some food especially when it’s good food, but I have to say this food was absolutely delicious! Each and every bite was full of flavor and you can tell when food is made with love and care. I won’t get into each dish because this review would be way too long but long story short, fish was fresh the meat was tender and the pasta was perfectly cooked. Very impressed with this place told all my family and friends about it already and I am very much looking forward to...
