The events on this review are based off a real life experience. The story starts like this...My colleague and I were originally destined for Maxwells when we stumbled upon Americano. Our hostess left us in temporary limbo on whether we were actually going to be actual patrons this evening. After roughly 2 minutes we were seated in the back, just thankful to be part of the atmosphere for the evening. Our waitress (not to be named) had a positive joyful attitude which both my colleague and I have so far appreciated. Things were going well as we’ve been celebrating his career change within the company. This is when we strapped in for the emotional rollercoaster. Our waitress presented the opportunity to order some scrumptious appetizers which I listed off when I was politely interrupted with news from our waitress that there was a Burrata appetizer special, I immediately jumped on the opportunity to secure our reservation for that Burrata. While awaiting our prized Burrata I got the news every patron dreads...Our waitress slowly approached our table with a delicate calculated approach...the nightmare became reality...the apology started right then and there I knew my colleague and I lost the Burrata interruption we are currently watching the most paint drying first date of the 21st century filled with C- life stores and wondering eyes from the female party end interruption back to the most serious life altering moment felt at Americano...I couldn’t believe what I was hearing that something so beautiful so perfect would not be entering my digestive tract tonight, I nearly broke down in tears...I pleaded with the waitress which other Patron ordered the last of the Burrata but due to client confidentially she was unable to provide me with the names of those who have since ruined my life...I asked again and again but she has since stuck to her guns not revealing the identities of those destined to ruin my evening, as I write this and I eat my regular menu appetizers of garlic Parmesan wings and base calamari I just think how different my life could have turned out...just goes to show you in life nothing is guaranteed and getting your hopes up can be one of the most dangerous risks you take in life...none the less the lighting and sound proofing is advanced and the regular food items are definitely above average...if anyone has any information about who ordered the last batch of Burrata please notify local law...
Read moreTerrible experience! Went for Mother's Day dinner, and there was one problem after another. First of all, we had a 5 pm reservation, but we weren't seated until 5:40. It took forever to get water service even after asking. We wanted to order the calamari but were told they had run out already (a staple of any Italian restaurant)! We repeatedly asked for bread after sitting down and 2 hours later they came to us and told us they had run out. This is after we saw countless tales who sat after us receive not only one order but even 2 orders of bread themselves. The entire service was extremely slow; it took over 2 hours for appetizers and main courses, and we were only a party of 10. We had three orders of the Pasta Firenze - two of the portions at 9 pieces of chicken and one had 4 pieces! The waiter said he would bring out more chicken, but that never happened. After another half hour, he reported that he checked on it and the chicken was never even dropped. He did try to make it better by giving us a cannoli. The icing on the proverbial cake was being told they are out of cappuccino (again, a staple for an Italian restaurant), but could offer espresso instead. How can your restaurant be so grossly under-prepared for a holiday!? To top things off, there was no soap in the men's bathroom. This was reported early on in our dining experience and still was not fixed 2 hours later when we left. This was also true for the sink in the back for employees (they took a member of our party back there when he initially reported to them that they were out). So every employee in those 2 hours at least, and likely longer, did not wash with soap after using the restroom, which is clearly a violation of health code. In addition, the women's bathroom was completely dirty with toilet paper all over the floor, and freezing water in faucets. This was such a disappointing experience, and I will not be recommending this establishment...
Read moreI was very excited to bring my boyfriend here because it was our first date night in a month and because my family and I have been here multiple times before and we love the food and atmosphere. We walked in today (8/1) around 7pm and there was one hostess at the stand (a young blonde girl). She was sitting very unprofessionally, with her knees up against the stand and looking down. She did not acknowledge us so we initiated by requesting a table for 2. She asked if we had a reservation which we did not so she said she would get back to us about the wait once the other hostess returned to the stand. Shortly after, 2 gentlemen walked in and also requested a table for two. The same hostess asked if they had a reservation to which they also replied no. As we were waiting by the stand, another employee came by and spoke to the 2 gentleman who came in after us and proceeded to sit them down immediately. That’s when we realized she was the other hostess and that the young blonde hostess did not speak to her about which pair was there first. Once the second hostess returned after sitting the two gentleman, I spoke up to both of them about the situation. The other hostess said she was not aware (which is true) and that it would be a long wait for a table, and the young blonde hostess just shrugged us off, mumbled something and proceeded to not show any regret or solution other than waiting for the next available table. That’s what really aggravated us because we were there first and now suddenly had to wait a while to be seated. That’s when my boyfriend and I made the decision to walk out of the restaurant. My boyfriend and I are very patient people and would have had no problem waiting, however, given that we were completely overlooked and the blonde hostess did not apologize or do anything to fix the situation, we felt very disrespected and I’m very...
