Racine Salon & Spa — Local services in Town of Islip

We were very disappointed in our experience here, my two daughters and mom had Deanna and they said she was constantly leaving the room saying she forgot things while they heard her having a conversation with another person in the hallway. I think if your taking advantage of people first you told us $60 for facials which you cheated us by charging $90 per person and then should remain in the room with your clients and stop "forgetting" things. Deanna also left some of the product on their faces which we stopped at a local store so they were able to wash their faces. Then I had Rosie who I honestly did not have a issue with except I was charged $120???? Your service prices should be the same not if one person has more experience they charge more? I honestly don't understand the method of this madness. The last thing I wanted to mention is the noise for a supposedly relaxing experience if I wanted to hear this type of noise I could have stayed upstate! This was very disappointing and I think the reviews which led me to trying your facility was definitely misleading and you are classic case of a bait and switch you should be ashamed of yourself!! I’ve had multiple different services at Racine and have loved them all. Alexa does my hair and knocks it out of the park every single time. She also styled my hair for my wedding and I looked amazing. I’ve seen Deanna for tanning and she also did my makeup for my wedding. I had told her at the trial that I did not want traditional bridal makeup and she made me look exactly how I wanted. Chantille has given me many manicures and they always last freaking forever. She also did my wedding nails from an inspo pic and she killed it.

The staff in general are all SO sweet. They make you feel like a friend and you feel like they were looking forward to your visit. The staff always remember you and will stop and say hi. The stylists, front desk staff, the assistants, all lovely.

I personally think their pricing is fair, even better than other salons. I typically get a balayage and a blowout, sometimes a cut, and I’ve never paid more than $275. And my hair is long and takes upwards of 3 hours. Between time, skill of the stylist, and price of product, you’re really...

I used Jamie from Racine Salon for my wedding day. Jamie was incredibly amazing!! She is such a sweet person and put me totally at ease the morning of my wedding. She arrived at 6am but you’d never know it was that early by how awake and attentive she was! I have had her cut and style my hair a couple times before the wedding, and she did my hair trial as well so I felt very comfortable working with her and felt she had a great understanding of what I wanted for my wedding day. Sure enough, she did an amazing job with my hair, and everyone else’s as well. I truly admired her ability to stand and do hair for several hours on end and still have a smile on her face!!
