Navigating the skincare counters at the department stores is a very confusing and expensive endeavor. I am so greatful I found Barbara's, Soul Skincare web site while researching a product she happens to carry. I called her to inquire about the product and she invited me to come in to see the product and asked me to bring in what I was currently using. Barbara helped me weed through my bag of products and ditch the ones that were not only, not helping, but hindering my skin care needs. Not once during this visit did she push any products on me, she simply educated me on prevention/repair and what I may have been doing wrong in my regimen. In fact, the product that brought me to her in the first place was not exactly what Barbara thought I needed. She sent me on my way with some samples to try and the knowledge I needed. I booked a facial scheduled for the following week, and I, needless to say was very excited. When I came in for the facial and also had a dermaplaining procedure, I knew I was in the hands of an expert who truly was invested in improving the look and health of my skin. While the facial with Barbara is a tremendously relaxing and ultimate spa experience, I knew the products being used were specific to my skincare needs and beneficial to my skin far beyond the hour and 1/2 I was in the treatment room. I purchased the products I needed, which by the way, are made with ingredients I can actually pronounce, and I must say, my skin hasn't looked this good in years! If you have never heard of dermaplaining, ask Barbara about it. It is a game changer! It's what all the celebrities are doing and no one is spilling the beans. People keep commenting on my skin, but really it's about the way my skin feels. It feels healthy and cared for. Barbara cares how my skin looks, period. That is because she is as invested in it as I am. Barbara is honest and professional but makes you feel immediately like you are one of her friends. I have my next session with Barbara already booked, and I plan to make regular visits to Soul Skincare as part of my routine. Thank you Barbara, for your honesty and expertise!!

I was referred to Barbara through a mutual friend right before my 2013 wedding... It is now 2017 and my skin feels & looks better now than it did 3 years ago! Barbara & her vast knowledge and personalized attention to my skin, using only organic products and the latest and greatest technology has resulted in me loving my skin more than I did as a younger woman. If you are a facial enthusiast - look NO further. I travel over an hour, twice a month to see Barbara regularly. I always let her decide what is best for my skin for the session, but am obsessed with Dermaplaning, which is an exfoilating, anti-wrinkle game changer! Lately I have started a series of NewApeel Diamond Microdermabrasion which is literally like a natural face lift for your skin. I follow each of my sessions with LED light therapy, which again, Barbara personalizes to my skins needs. My last session I opted for a double session and included a back facial for the first time. All I can say is WOW! I don't think I've received professional massages that relaxing! Barbara is not only a true professional, excelling in all she has learned about skin care, but also the sweetest woman. I am the annoying client that bombards her with questions and she has answered all of them. She has such a warm and kind demeanor and her office is quaint, quiet and totally personal. You are the only one there during your services and her room could not be more inviting, between her fireplace, comfy bed, warmed up blankets and soothing music... I'm relaxed just writing about it... And if that's not enough, Barbara's personal service SURPASSES anything I've ever received at high end spa's and her prices are a fraction of what you would pay in NYC. First of all, I LOVE Barbara! She is simply amazing. Such a welcoming and warm person. Her knowledge of skin and skincare is endless. I first went to her as I was taking Pilates classes across the hall, some of the ladies in the class said she was great and I should try a facial. So I did. The room is beautiful, clean, and tranquil and you are always greeted with a smile. It's a little oasis in the middle of Islip. Brabara was able to point out exactly what was going on with my skin and after one facial with a light therapy session I saw results straight away. I was hooked. She doesn't push products, but she will recommend some if you ask her, when she does LISTEN! She carries a variety of different brands, and is able to, off the top of her head tell you exactly what is in each product, what the ingredients do and why it will or won't work for you. I try to go every 6 weeks, if it's possible. I have cut down the amount of products I use on my skin, now I am only using what I get from her, (because I've realized she knows my skin much better than anyone at a beauty counter ever will) and my skin has never looked better.

Oh and most definitely ask her about her hyaluronic serum. It's a serious game changer. I'm addicted! I use it as a moisturizer, it hydrates your skin, makes it glow, plumps it up, there's nothing it doesn't do. I can't say enough good things about it!!

All I can say is Barabra is now the only person I trust with my face. Once you do to her for a facial you won't settle for one...
