Governor's @ McGuire's Comedy Club — Restaurant in Town of Islip

I was there last Saturday to see the wonderful and talented Teddy Smith - Who was fabulous, unfortunately Vinny D MC was not so funny, we took Fan pictures afterwards, someone showed me on Facebook, insulting remark he wrote about me, a person he doesn’t no I guess because he wasn’t tagged in the picture right away. I have friends and family, Who also found this classless , we Along with many others in the audience that night , didn’t find this Vinny D entertaining as his monologue was 100% about sex jokes and how he wanted to kill his children - . That night , He felt the need to insult a customer ( by the way I was drinking only ginger Ale ) was wearing a heavy duty back brace because of previous back surgery so I could be able to sit there comfortably for an hour and 45 minutes to enjoy the show —- The result was IT caused a huge uprising on social media. Because of all the comedy friends that I have, They definitely agreed it was uncalled for ( not funny ) , if I ever return to Maguires I will make sure that this person is not going to be on stage, I am very sad to have to write this , because I have been going to this comedy club for over 35 years without incident , or any of there...

I’ve been to Maguire’s at least four or five times a year for the last few years. Whenever I leave, the comedians are very nice and they’ll take pictures with you. Fortunately, I was able to get my picture with Gilbert Godfrey a couple of years ago. The other day I had a misunderstanding about The promo code in buying tickets and I got mad and I wrote a bad review. It was mostly the employee that I had called that got me so riled up. But I wanna say that I’ve been going to this comedy club for a long time and it’s a great night out. It’s funny. The people are nice. It’s a good escape and if there’s ever a problem, the owner and the manager are very hands-on and they take care of it so this review is to say what a good place it is and to apologize for giving them a bad review one day cause I didn’t like one of their employees in the office. Their waitresses and bartenders and everybody is very nice so if you get a chance, check it out well worth it. And if you For no money, they will send you complementary tickets every once in a while through your email. As Jafar would say there were diamond...

I wouldn't post a bad review about a particular comic but... This is about the management. We went to see Jon Fisch. The guy before him was pretty funny and the MC was decent as well. The MC totally started an audience participation vibe. The first two comics totally ripped on audience members. It was funny and nobody had a problem with it. Then the headliner came Jon Fisch and he started to bomb. A table that the first two Comics picked on yelled a couple of times after he engaged them and made fun of them and it got really uncomfortable because he was so distracted he had to stop his act. He even insisted that everyone just sit and wait until he had that table thrown out. He never regained any momentum after that. My gripe is with the management. The comics encouraged this participation and then all of the sudden they're against it. And to boot Jon Fisch tried to get the audience against the girls who were asked to leave. This headliner bombed and engaged the audience because of bad material and management...
