Long River — Restaurant in Town of Islip

11/11/23 under new ownership and no better. We ordered a teriyaki chicken bento box, Hawaiian chicken bento box and beef w/ broccoli. The teriyaki chicken was dry and over cooked, the salad was wilted, the beef w. broccoli was oily and tasteless. I returned the food back to the restaurant and encountered the worst customer service imaginable. I was told I wouldn't get my money back for days and a "third party" was going to refund the money even though I paid over the phone to the restaurant. The cashier then tried to tell me they could give me cash and then reneged on the ofter after another individual got involved. After some back and forth I was given the money and he refused to put the money in my hand. That is a clear sign of disrespect. Do not patronize these people if you don't have to. Spend your money on food that tastes good...

Worst service. I called and ordered half fried chicken over fried rice. I came to pick up after 10 mn, they gave me my order and it was shrimp and chicken fried rice. I told the cashier, this is not what I ordererd. He said" ok, I will change it for u" I told him specifically I want a half fried chicken with fried rice. Came back 10 mn later, I found my order to be peanut chicken with fried rice. I wasted 20 mn of my time plus gas, and didn't get my order. Finally a chineae chick came and I told her that I keep getting the wrong order. She said oh Sorry we don't sell a half fried chicken, and proposed to give me fried wings instead. When I asked her for a refund, she gave me a dirty look and gave me the money without even apologizing. I won't come...

Used to have food from here when I was a kid and it was always good, but in 2020 I got some shrimp lo mein, ate all of it, and woke up the next day with food poisoning. Literally thought I was gonna die as I was blasting out both ends and subsequently passing out, taking turns on the toilet to puke and then have violent diarrhea. Anyway I called the place up and they refunded me but gaslit me by saying “Nobody else got food poisoning from the shrimp lo mein” which I didn’t appreciate. Like cool, nobody else did but I did.
