Captree Gourmet Deli — Restaurant in Town of Islip

I wish I could add a new review each time but unfortunately I can't. Today I tried the Chazbo..wrap which has chicken cutlet,, spinach,, sundried tomatoes, swiss cheese. balsamic vinegar on a roasted pepper wrap.. this food is amazing. It is the best wrap I ever had.. we eat first with our eyes. Than our nose and finally our mouth. Whomever is actually making this food is an artistic! I love this deli....they make the best heroes hands down. Their food is fresh and flavorful. Even the detail to wrapping the heroes and they spare no expense on the materials to do so makes it so much more inviting. I love that they actually follow directions and your food is made to order. Great job! I wanted to add another review but I couldn't find out how to do it so I will just add to this one. I ordered the pastrami, Swiss cheese, tomatoes, mustard on rye. OMG it was amazing and it was packed with meat. I also have to say whomever cuts and wraps these sandwiches is someone who takes pride in their job. I know it sounds crazy but it's artistry the way the sandwich is perfectly cut and wrapped and not just once but twice. I love...

So, today i ordered a cobb salad from this deli, i am used to ordering from them. I work in a medical office right on Montauk Highway so we order from them all the time. Today I am on lunch break and I go to pick up my salad and when I drive back to my office to eat i find they put a whole iceberg head without cutting it in the container. So know i have a whole iceberg head with chicken on top that I cant move because everything is falling out. I call Donna shes the owner and before im done explaining the situation she tells me “that she spoke with the young man and that he told her that he cut the iceberg and that if im insinuating that he is lying” i called not to ask for my money back or anything just to let her know and she was extremely rude considering my office gives her a ton of service. Food is good but service is absolutely terrible. Don't expect anyone to own up to mistakes or offer compensation. Expect to get yelled at and called incompetent. Unfortunately, they will not get any more business from me or any of my workers as well as anyone I see in the area. Learn some respect if you're going to go into business serving the public.

Update: Penny smart dollar foolish. You're continuing to argue with a paying customer, which leads me to believe that, ultimately, you will probably not own up to anything. You were raising your voice and called someone incompetent. Maybe there was a miscommunication between my co-worker and I, but when I came over to talk about it, all you did was yell and make it like it was my fault. The whole story is still missing as you didn't mention the part where you yelled and when you tried to give me my money back and told me that you were going to throw away the bacon I gave you back the money....
