Marco Polo Pizzeria — Restaurant in Town of Islip

If I could give no stars, I would. The service from the older gentleman that I just witnessed happening to another customer in their business was disgusting. I stop in a few times here & there to get a couple of slices on my back to work on my lunch break. I have never had a problem with the customer service that I get because I tend to deal with the younger gentleman behind the counter. The older gentleman who was behind the counter today was disgustingly rude to another customer because one of their employees got an order wrong. She ordered chicken cutlet entrée with a salad and they made chicken parmigiana with a salad. The woman even stated that she wasn't sure, she just ordered what another person wanted, she even pointed it out on their menu. He was so belittling to her and his attitude towards her was disgusting, he kept yelling at her and telling her what was in the chicken parmigiana to which the woman stated that she didn't know what was in it but all she wanted was the chicken cutlet that they had on their menu. He then took back the box with the rest of her food & threw it back on the counter and told her that she would have to wait 25 minutes then. If you cannot work with customers, then you shouldn't be working with customers. You cant belittle and degrade a customer in front of 5-10 other customers about something that your employee messed up on. Accept that your employee made a mistake & fix the customers order. I will never be going back to this establishment for pizza. There are much better pizzeria's a couple of blocks away with cheaper prices & nicer people who enjoy their...

I was on a business trip in the area and was looking for lunch when I glanced to my right while stopped at a traffic light. I see a Carvel and a sign that just said PIZZA above a very non-assuming storefront. I thought this shopping center looks like it is way past its prime but I was hungry and it was 12:30pm. So I walk in. There are small booths on either side and a line of people from the counter to the door. I figured, this has got to be good. I get up to the counter to place my order and low and behold a fresh cheese pie comes right out of the oven. I ordered two slices and a coke. I was NOT disappointed. It was awesome! If a pizza shop can make a great cheese pizza with nothing to hide an off note, then the others have to be good. I grew up in North NJ and have had some great pizzas in my life. After moving to NC that became a rarity. It is amazing how aromas and taste can trigger memories. This place did exactly that. I look forward to my next journey to Long Island to enjoy this place...

I walked in to buy 2 slices and went to use my Debit Card and he says Min $7 you need to buy a soda .. I Said there are no signs with Min Debit card purchase and i didn't have cash i also didn't want a soda ...After asking to just charge me for the slice he told me to go to ATM. After i told him i am not paying ATM fees and that myself and my company come in their allot. The Owner told me to get out of his store and proceeded to flip me off ... I would think twice...
