Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Town of Islip

I created an experiment where I analyzed and compared Papa John's pizza to Dominoes after being inspired by my friends Instagram poll. I have concluded that Papa Johns is the winner. In mine and my boyfriend's opinion, Papa Johns had more pros then cons. Factors that were voted on was: the texture/crunchiness/flavor of the crust, the taste & balance of the sauce, cheese and toppings. Method: We bought one pie from each place with the same toppings: cheese/banana peppers/onions. In conclusion, papa John's cheese was more evenly spread, more cheesy and tasty; the sauce had a better quantity and more balanced with the sauce then Dominoes. However, the sauce tasted a bit sweet.. ((but I'm team spicy so I'm a bit biased)). Also, the dough was better, although the crust was flavorless compared to Dominoes, the banana peppers had more flavor. Also, the customer service was better.. i was acknowledged immediately. Overall, Papa Johns =4**...

When I got there there were 3 team members, 2 of which were just sitting down doing nothing, while the one actually working seemed busy making an order. Therefore I had to wait longer to pick my order up, which was just on the shelf ready when I got there. Again the 2 other team members doing nothing asked the other one to grab my order… Laziness level 100. Nobody was at the counter, and no bell to ring for one’s attention. When I finally got my order and home the stuffed crust pizza was like cardboard and the dog wouldn’t even eat it. Winded up throwing it out. On the other specialty pie (Alfredo thin crust) there las hardly any Alfredo sauce. It was more of a disappointment than the stuffed crust was. Needless to say if you want to be disappointed venture on over and have pizza that is the equivalent of a pizza made from a dumpster. Though, I’d go elsewhere, for sure. Never...

So I don’t normally write reviews but, I have to for this. This store says the close at 1am. I called 30 mins before they closed because my wife and I wanted something quick and easy. I called and the front end guy herd me say I want to place a quick order for carry out and transfered me to his Manager immediately, he wouldn’t talk to me. So I asked the manager If I could place an order over the phone and pick it up because I live about five minutes away and she said no I shut the ovens off already there closed with an attitude, then hung up. I’m pretty sure they’re open till 1 AM according to their website and Google will not order from this Papa John’s again. I rather travel 10 extra minutes to go to the next town for a better...
