Strathmore Bagels — Restaurant in Town of Islip

Was a loyal fan of this place until today. I grabbed two bagels with cream cheese and while eating it the test got more and more sour then my girlfriend bit into hers and notice the same thing taste like it was made with spoiled cream or milk. As a loyal customer I know something was not right so I called (not looking for any refund in anyway) just to give them a heads up that something was not right but the owner was not the nicest and literally said to me verbatim “you complain but we make freshy freshy” and refused to even hear me out even though I was trying to help them. Lost me as a customer sad because it’s the only bagel place by my but if you going to treat your customers like that then oh well! I’ll go...

I started coming here since the age of 7 with my parents and continued until now (32). My wife, child and I decided to go for breakfast here today and got treated horribly, I was in the register about to pay for my food and the cook walked over to say “what’s with your attitude” I never had an attitude I simply was explaining my order and then the owner wanted me to pay but the cook continued to have an attitude so then I immediately dediced it was time to get my family out of that negative atmosphere and told them this was my last time coming here so the cook replied “don’t bother coming back” I am still so confused as to why I got treated...

Waited 30 mins for someone to rake order. They finally did. Wasn’t even eggs or anything. I noticed They don’t use gloves. The girl that made my bagels did. However the person making egg sandwiches was wearing only one glove. Watched her open Palm grab cheese with bare hand. Both woman ! Then they gave me 2 bagels that weren’t correct. I left Store came back in ..she took back the bagels I touched and opened and put them back by shelf. Being that I work In the service Industry, this is appalling.
