Starbucks — Restaurant in Town of Islip

This is a fantastic Starbucks! Plenty of tables and a great spot to get work done—I spent about an hour here with my laptop and had no trouble finding a comfortable seat. One of the best features is that every seat has a charging station, which is a huge plus for remote workers and students.

The store was VERY clean, and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. The staff was super friendly and efficient, making the experience even better. And of course, my Frappuccino was delicious!

I had a terrible experience at this Starbucks. I asked about a refund while in the drive-through, and one of the employees told me to go inside because she would handle it there. After I went out of my way, parked, and went inside, they told me they couldn’t actually issue the refund. That was extremely frustrating and felt like a complete waste of time. The situation could have easily been handled with honesty and better communication. Instead, I was misled and treated with zero consideration. I went here on a Sunday at 11:30am and ordered a hot beverage through the drive-through. I gave them a $100 dollar bill and was told they cannot accept it because they don’t have change and I need to pay another way. That is absolutely ridiculous. I told them I don’t have any smaller bills. Instead of doing the right thing and giving me my coffee on the house for their ridiculous problem, they told me I had to pay another way.
