First time eating food from this establishment and I ordered through Uber Eats. I was a little hesitant because of my last two experiences ordering from two different pizzerias in Bay Shore whereas I ordered calzones and pizza. They weren' very good experiences and I didn't want a three-peat. I ordered two calzones, one with pepperoni and one with meatballs. Unfortunately, I didn't get meatballs in one f the calzones and I got Italian sausages which I specifically didn't want and a large neopolitan. Despite the error of giving me Italian sausage the calzone was really good. The calzone was packed with an even amount of ricotta and mozzarella and just the right amount of sausage. I emphasis that as I had just ordered from another pizzeria a few weeks ago and the calzone was disgusting, in look and in taste. This pizza was made well and it also had ample and equal amounts of sauce and cheese. It was flavorful. The pizza dough was baked just right and the pizza wasn't greasy or soggy. I think the prices are competitive and actually worth it. Some places have charged $ 10 more for the same size pie. I would certainly order from here again and recommend it as a really...
Read moreI'm SO SO sad to say that I cannot afford to eat here any longer! I just found out the hard way that they doubled and tripled their prices! I ordered 4 slices, two large soups, two canolli, a large antipasto salad (NO meat!), and a plain eggplant parm dinner and I was charged $96! An increase of $33! Then with their extra $4 charge for paying with a card, it was $100!! I had to call and find out what in the world! Large soups went from $6 to $15 overnight ! And that is just for macaroni and beans, what must cost $.30 to make. You could get the same homemade soup in the same size at the local Diner for 6.95. Add a tip to this simple few items (and not a single piece of meat ordered) and you're pretty much bankrupt. What made them think in this Covid economy people could afford these kinds of prices for a simple neighborhood Italian take out?? UGH, I'm so sad, I really liked their food and staff but this is beyond taking advantage of customers wallets. A very tearful goodbye to...
Read moreI strongly suggest not buying gift cards here to give to relatives or friends because when you go to use them, their whole demeanor changes. They are visibly displeased. I have been there many times without a gift card for takeout, I have ordered delivery and gone for sit down meals. I have always been courteous to every staff member and tip well. I was ordering take out and I was using a Fratelli gift card for this takeout meal. Their faces dropped and they seemed annoyed. I ordered a piece of cake which they took out of their display case and the cake was very stale and the filling had soured. It may have been done to show their disdain or it was carelessness. Either way I work hard for my money and I will not spend it...
