Broad Street Bagel Co. — Restaurant in Town of Kinderhook

While visiting shops in Hudson, NY, several people recommended this spot for lunch while visiting Lindenwald. Since it had the name bagel in it, we thought it would be a traditional bagelry and dismissed it from our minds. After visiting Lindenwald we headed into the village and saw this cute spot that had outdoor dining so we stopped. We went to the counter to look at the menu, there were so many sandwich offerings we were delighted with the many choices. It wasn't until we were seated that we looked at the name of the restaurant and were completely surprised we were actually in the Broad Street Bagel Co.

When ordering the chicken cutlet parmesan, they asked me if I would like the half size or whole size, after they showed me how large the whole was I ordered the half and I still took home half. It was filled with chicken and melted cheese and a delicious red sauce. I look forward to my leftover lunch tomorrow and will now visit again,...

Up until recently there was no locally baked Italian bread that was of the quality / taste of what I remembered from my youth on the Lower East Side in NYC. There is now. I've been here twice now, the products I bought both time were exceptional . Of course the namesake focaccia is great, but also the other breads I have tasted. The sesame twist, and prosciutto in particular were outstanding . As a kid I'd break off the end of the loaf and eat it on my way home from the bakery. Did the same with the sesame twist as I walked back to my car and was transported back to First Avenue in Manhattan...

We drove 30 minutes from Albany to this lovely bagel shop after our neighbors were raving about them and we said let’s go! Well, the neighbors were right! We left with a bag of all different bagels, a pint of their homemade cream cheese and an everything bagel with egg and cheese.

Bagels were absolutely delicious, crispy to my liking and bigger in size than what I am used to and this is a huge bonus.

We will be back to get more bagels and can see us becoming regulars here despite the distance!
