They say service goes a long way when it comes to earning and retaining custom. The Brooklyn Pizzeria has itself a Secret Service Star in Riley!! Riley greeted my son and I with a Smile as we entered and provided friendly, helpful information. Riley handed us to go menu on our way out as we continued our search for what we wanted to eat. I don't understand the thinking up here. This slice would have been perfect EXCEPT for one major flaw. Every pizza place up in this area (including this one) insists on cooking pizza on those damn screens instead of directly on the oven floor. What gives? Come on, no valid self-respecting Italian NYC pizzeria does that! It totally ruins the bottom of the pizza. Please make the pizza correctly so I can give you 5 stars. Absolute hidden gem! I have searched all over the capital region to find a good NY slice..... almost impossible (many overrated places). I have very high pizza standards (grew up on long island) and my girlfriend found this place on a whim. No frills and the quality of the ingredients really make a excellent pie. Garlic knots were fantastic. I will be honest, this place was not easy to find on a google search. We have been here a few times and it's always good....
