Uncle Vinny's Deli — Restaurant in Town of La Grange

Haha... the audacity of these people!! I walk in this morning to get a sandwich at this place I've never been to before. First thing I see ? Arizona bottles (the small kind) for $1.75!! I figured that can't be right, so while waiting for my tuna salad on a roll I figured I'd ask. Sure enough, a guy in his 60s answers and it is indeed $1.75 Me: "how come?" Him: "cause that's how much we charge" Me: I'm just asking, because I've never seen these anywhere for that price Him: "well I havent seen anyone around here sell them, who sells them around here?" At this point I laughed, shook my head and dropped the subject. I dont debate with wannabe wise guys. So... boss... just because you are the only one with a common product in an area (if that's even true, Arzona is everywhere) you think you have the right to price gouge?! What a nasty way to rip people off. And unashamed, you admit it! I'm not sure how legal it is to sell a $0.99 product for almost double, but I am pretty damn sure you shouldn't have flies on your cookies.... I suggest you clean up your act, cause you charged me $10 for tuna on a roll too. When you get these two things fixed, then I'll be back to discuss Arizona prices. Hahaha just kidding, I will NEVER be back. And I dont suggest others waste their time and hard earned money here either. Plenty of other delis, not hard to find one with decent prices and...

This place was horrible . The one woman in the deli is rude. I ordered the eggplant special on a hero with mozzarella and asked for prosciutto and sun dried tomatoes. They charge us 16.00 the sign said 11.00 We open the sandwich and it has only once thin piece of eggplant , one slice of prosciutto and peppers not the sun dried tomatoes we asked for . I’m telling you it was horrible I told my husband I should have walked back in with and showed them how horrible that sandwich was . I was so upset . Why the hell did you charge me 16.00 for once slice of prosciutto I could get a 1/4 pound of that were I live for the five extra dollars she charge me . I think it was horrible to be so cheap . People think this is a real Italian deli you must not know what an Italian deli is I always have to drive to Yorktown to get a good eggplant sandwich. I thought I would try up in my area but not so sad . I will never I repeat never go there again . Some people aren’t stupid to get charged that amount and get horrible quality and yes the eggplant...

Had to cool our jets while getting an unplannes repair at Mavis, so we popped in here for lunch. Asked the very gracious lady for a recommendation, and she picked the "Godfather". We took the hero option and a side of broccoli rabbi. Sat at the little table in the back corner, and when the order came out, I realized we had ordered too much. One G-f ather hero could feed two!
