TLDR: Great food! Cheap, flimsy to-go containers. Leftovers, beware!
ETA: I still really enjoy their food, but their to-go containers suck.. lol especially if you have leftover meats. The containers to begin with feel flimsy straight out the restaurant, and since mine busted open a lil in my fridge (with only a small portion of pulled pork/chicken in it), I felt inclined to edit my post to warn others. Looking back, I think this might actually be why the waitress/Host helped take my food to my car lol, aside from her just being nice anyway. The milkshake containers felt like those paper straws that disintegrate over time, and bend even with a gentle grip, so.. order/store with caution. Thankfully, milkshakes don't last long around me though lol Overall, just feels cheap, which is sort of understandable, just be wary of it. If you're going to store leftovers - put a plate under the container, or else you too will have meat coming out the bottom 😭
UPDATE (8 years later): This place is STILL fantastic! I just ordered the Big Sampler, to split with my parents for dinner, to go; it's decently sized, a lot of meat but the sides are probably more so for maybe two people to split, tbh, not three, but it's ALL absolutely delicious! We got both pulled meats, ribs and brisket, with BBQ beans, sweet mash, bacon ranch mac salad and the mac n cheese. It's a lil of (almost) everything, and absolutely worth the price. The milkshakes are just okay though, lol average, I'd say. The containers for them (to-go) are little flimsy, but the contents are good.
The waitress/hostess that cashed me out also helped me carry all that food out to my car, which was unexpected and kind of surprising for a pick up/carry out order (or, for anywhere, really, lol), but SO sweet of her!
I've always liked this place, and I just know you will too! 🥰
(8 years ago): I absolutely love this place! It's this cute lil diner packed with deliciousness with the friendliest staff!
I normally stick with the pulled pork, and if you do too you MUST try all their different BBQ sauces!
Today's special is a BBQ grilled cheese on Texas toast, so.. That alone should sell you on this place. It's like every little thing they...

My boyfriend and I recently visited Smokin' Little Diner for the first time, and it was an unforgettable experience! We went on a Friday evening, and the place was buzzing with energy — clearly a local favorite. The atmosphere was cozy, yet lively, and it was no surprise to see so many people there. We knew we were in for something special when we saw how busy it was.
Let me tell you, the food was absolutely incredible. We ordered a variety of dishes, and every single bite was packed with flavor. The meat just fell apart – so tender that we didn’t even need utensils! The sauce was the perfect blend of smoky and sweet, and we loved it so much, we actually took a bottle home. It was that good!
The service was top-notch. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. We couldn't have asked for a better dining experience.
I do have to apologize for my boyfriend, though! He didn’t notice the lights when he was putting on his coat, which led to a little moment of confusion, but in hindsight, it’s one of those quirky things that made the night memorable.
Overall, the food was so filling and delicious that we left completely satisfied. Smokin' Little Diner is definitely a place we’ll be returning to soon — everything from the food to the service made for a wonderful evening. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for amazing comfort food in a...
Read moreReal 50's Diner in the heart of Depew. The speciality of the house is Pig, in all it's BBQ glory. I had the pulled pork Sandwich with BBQ baked beans on the side. The pork was a huge helping of real Q'd pork. Moist, tender and the house sauce is not to be missed. I had the regular sauce and it was just sweet enough, with a smokey snap to it, Yummy. Beans had the Cherry sauce which was tangy fruit but not over done, a nice balanced sauce. I snapped it up with some Tabasco and had a mighty nice meal . I tried 3 sauces in all and they were all unique and calling me back for more. Chicken Alla KIng was the special of the night and considering what a cold wet snowy night, it was the perfect comfort food, a heart warming dish for my companion. Rich tasty gravy with chunks of chicken and veggies over 3 home made biscuits and a huge helping of creamy mashed potatoes that I could not stop eating. It was a huge platter but it was all gone in no time and the bowl licked clean ! The star of the show, no doubt, are the HAWG wings ! Tender drums of lovingly BBQ'd pork with a perfect glaze of their house sauce, were most succulent bit of pork I have never heard of ! All meat and it tugged off the bone in the way that says perfection in Q. HUge menu served super quick and friendly by waitress Brittany. We will be back for more, breakfast, dinner and...
