S&J Pizza Village — Restaurant in Town of Lloyd

I placed an order through the Slice app. When I did not get notification that the restaurant recieved my order, after 15 minutes, I called. I was advised the Slice tablet was down and they just recieved my order over the phone from customer service. No problem, things happen. I was told it would be 45 minutes. An hour later, still no delivery. I call them up and was told that it went out already. Another 10 minutes goes by before the food arrives, which made no sense because the pizzeria is like a block away. So in total, I've now waited nearly an hour and a half. I open up the box and pictured below is the pizza that this business decided was acceptable to give their customer. I wish this was the only issue. The pizza was ice cold, as was the fries and the garlic knots. The garlic knots were beyond flavorless. Even the ceaser salad was terrible. I waited and hour and 25 minutes and spent fifty dollars for ice cold, bland food, and a barely edible salad. The fact that the pizza looked like this and they were ok with this representing them as a business, is a good indication that I will never spend my money here again. First Time Was Rough — But the Second Time? Amazing.

Tried this place for the first time recently. What convinced me to order was the variety on the menu, and when I called, the guy had a legit accent that made me trust the food even more. I ordered delivery: two different topping pies, fried Oreos, and mozzarella sticks.

Delivery took about an hour and a half, so everything showed up cold. Surprisingly, the pies and fried Oreos were still really good even cold. But the mozzarella sticks—my favorite appetizer—were a big letdown. The marinara sauce had a weird soapy-spice aftertaste, and the breading on the sticks was oily and crumbly, just totally unstable. That kind of killed the whole experience for me.

Still, the price was solid—about $43 for a medium pie, 3 fried Oreos, and 7 mozzarella sticks. I tipped $8 just to avoid waiting for change and letting the food get even colder. The only reason I didn’t leave a lower rating was because I had a gut feeling they were just having an off day.

Turns out, I was absolutely right.

I got a notification 11 minutes later that my order wouldn’t be ready until 6:55 p.m. because they were running behind . I got there at 650 p.m. and didn’t walk out with my order until 7:24 p.m. Almost 2 hour wait for one pie and one entree .
