This is after our second experience there because I like to give places two tries before finally settling on a personal view.
I called and there was no fake pleasant "hi how are you how can I help" but instead I get immediately "pick up or delivery?" No greetings. Honestly, that's refreshing and I like that blunt straight to the point attitude. It tells me you know what your pushing out and you know we want it badly.
My husband ordered the first time and I am a very bad phone conversationalist. I didn't prepare my pizza ordering speech. He didn't tell me what size pizza he ordered last time and I forgot that was a thing. You see, their large pizzas are $20 and l, back on the west coast, those scheming jerks will give you a 14" pie and tell you that's a large and you can easily shill out $60 for two larges. Not here. I had to end the phone call and get ahold of my husband to see what I should order. Two larges was fine he said. I had to call back. My bad, dudes.
We ordered the large bruschetta white pizza and the large Supreme pizza, substitute the sausage for bacon because everyone knows bacon is better, not a debate that's a fact. $42 dollars for two large pizzas is a great price after being scammed of more money for less mediocre product for the last 16 years. San Diego has the worst pizza.
That bruschetta white pizza is worth it. It's simple. The crust has a nice almost like arlic bread thing going on. It's very comfort food.
My Supremely Supreme with bacon instead of sausage was fan-friggin-tastic.
Best of all, they were actual large sized pizzas!
Keep it up,...
Read moreI'm really frustrated with my recent order from this pizzeria. I ordered a simple pepperoni pizza, but when it arrived, it had everything on it - peppers, mushrooms, sausage, olives, the works. This was clearly a mixed-up order.
When I called to let them know about the mistake, I was shocked by their response. They said there was nothing they could do about it and refused to come pick up the wrong pizza or deliver the correct one. This is basic customer service - when you mess up an order, you make it right.
The pizza itself actually tastes pretty good, which is why I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. The quality of their food isn't the issue here. But their unwillingness to fix their own mistake is completely unacceptable.
I understand mistakes happen in busy kitchens, but it's how you handle those mistakes that shows what kind of business you really are. Telling a customer "too bad" when you clearly sent them the wrong order is poor customer service.
I've ordered from here before without problems, but after this experience, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. There are plenty of other pizza places that stand behind their orders and actually care about customer satisfaction.
Really disappointed in how this...
