I was excited to try this resturant as my friends suggested it and they live around the corner. We had a reservation for 5:30 and walked about 5 mins late. We were greeted and then led to a table next to a family with 2 children. While being handed our menus we were advised that there was a reservation at 7:30 for our table. (We are confused as there were many open tables, but we stayed)
FF: The food was ok, we had the anchovies, spicy chicken and, brussels sprouts. Nothing special but not nasty. The server was AMAZING and so was the rest of the staff however the first comment now made every check in feel like "HURRY UP". We paid for our meal by 7:05.
15 mins go by and the hostess returns to the table to remind us they had a party coming in at 7:30 and needed our table, but said "I'm not rushing you".
Unfortunately now this is the 2nd time we have heard this from this woman so we left. On the way out my friend gave feedback directly to the woman that it wasn't appreciated. Not to mention we were the only POC in the establishment eating.
**SN: The family next to us had 2 small children whose tablets where quite loud, another customer complained. The staff hesitated confronting the family and then after finally doing so perfusely apologized for possibly offending them. I say this to note they understand offense and how it can affect business. So who they offend matters, not the actual...
Read moreGreat new restaurant in Larchmont. We had a really wonderful meal here and are so happy we have a new, exciting and innovative restaurant in town. The menus are really interesting, drinks are crafted and very tasty and the space is inviting and staff are really friendly.
Couple of suggestions as we have seen the mistakes of many restaurants here in the area.
Great service is the key, meaning pleasant, knowledgeable, friendly and attentive, which you currently have.
Prices are still too steep in our area. We are not in NYC and although we appreciate the skill and artistry, the prices are too high. In addition, most restaurants are now going with the culinary trend of small portions as well. Higher prices and smaller portions are not the way to go for longevity. Moderate prices, with great food and great service will create long term customers.
We would also suggest more atmospheric lighting in the evening. Having the lights all the way up creates a stark atmosphere. You have a cool space, so dimmer lighting in the evening with cooler music would create a sexier, hipper vibe.
Go to Heritage. You won't be...
Read moreThe place was average overall. The menu was all over the place. The burger and fries were pretty good. The chicken croquettes with garlic aioli were excellent. The main problem was the Mac n cheese 'all grown up.' This was not even remotely mac n cheese in the traditional sense, which is why it was so disappointing. It came out like a noodle soup; the kind with the overcooked noodles. Instead of delicious gooey cheese sauce, there was a brothy sauce with a hint of cheese flavor. In addition, there were random mushrooms which did not taste great. The bowl looked like it came out of someone's grandmother's kitchen. While it didn't taste bad, it was not what one would want when ordering...
