Asian Cafe — Restaurant in Town of Manlius

My driver had planned an anything could happen evening.

"I was waiting at the fire station in Verona.

Either I was going out on a run to cut people out of a car wreck or give someone a ride".

So I had lucked into a ride from a first responder, giving rides on the side.

I felt pretty safe even though a wintery mix of snow and sleet was falling.

I took a nap.

The Asia Cafe had the lights on, and I loved the bone broth and ramen, so I asked my driver to stop early, within easy walking distance of home.

The Asia Cafe looks cleaner than clean.

I watched in amazement around closing time last week as the cook went over the floor with a brillo pad to lift stains and streaks.

The woman knew exactly where I liked to sit, at a booth looking out over the parking lot and storefronts of Fayetteville Square.

One mention of R-7 and my bowl of ramen with cilantro, radish and a touch of chili oil was on its way.

Soon she brought it to the table in her hands, the bowl blooming with steam clouds.

Friends of the owner walk in, happily speaking a language that is not English.

I really am so predictable when it comes to dinner and find a dish I relish.

Downtown at Nikos, I order the chicken riggies once a week and split it into two meals, dinner and lunch.

The snow has added drama to the morning commute.

I skipped my morning coffee at the Marriott and boarded the Parkhill, which is now lumbering up...

Really really good. One of the best spots around for chinese. They have a lunch special, the location is very clean. Tables always clean, and amazing service. We had never been to the Asian cafe in Fayetteville but we had heard good things about it so the family and I decided to venture in.
