The food tasted ok, but the service was pretty poor. My husband and I were the only people in the restaurant on a weeknight, and service was pretty slow. When our waitress came to take our drink order, we ordered a bucket/pitcher of beers, but she literally brought us a single beer. We tried to explain that we ordered a pitcher but she just stared at us very blankly then walked away. When we got our food, I noticed that there was a HAIR in mine. Gross. I asked for a new plate. Our server sighed and seemed very annoyed. She took it away, then brought me another plate, but the food was stone cold. Overall the food tasted alright, but nothing about this restaurant is pleasant or remarkable. You can get better food and service at Tulcingo. I'd only recommend this restaurant if you enjoy the flavor of hair...

We have come here several times for different occasions. We have come for a quick lunch, family dinner (family of 6), date night, and for a celebratory event (20 people). Consistently the food has been excellent, as well as the service. The food has been hot and we'll seasoned. We often have ordered dinner dishes and the molcajete has become a favorite. The portions are generous and reflect their price. Their sangria is good as well as their patron margaritas. I have recommended this restaurant to many people. My only feedback would be having warm chips with the salsa for the table instead of room temp.

I love supporting family-owned businesses rather than chain establishments. With that said I won't be going back. I ordered take out, small order. Although I can speak some Spanish, the girl that took my order didn't understand a word of English. No big deal until you have to order. I used the Spanish I did know and I thought everything was okay. But it wasn't. I was charged almost 100 dollars for a sandwich. When I drove back for a refund a man from the back came out and pointed to my receipt asking if I wanted to leave a tip for take out and he would fix it. ...
