La Rancherita — Restaurant in Town of Monroe

So I was excited to try this restaurant. It seems like they were going to be amazing. But after spending a lot of money for dinner I am super disappointed.

The order was wrong after repeating it twice.

2.) Could have eaten it anyway but the chips were soggy and inedible. The steak was rubbery and hard to chew. Had to throw out.

Guacamole was watery drippy mess and over powered by cilantro and too many onions. I think total I counted 2 pieces of avocado. Disgusting mess- has the consistency of slime.

4.) Fries were soggy and the chicken tenders was basically chicken breast that was cut into pieces. It was also inedible. Rubber.

5.) Ordered tres leches cake- it was hard as a rock. Milk tasted spoiled.

Lesson Learned: Order from Tulcingos in Monroe. La Rancherita is not good...

After driving by this restaurant for years, we finally decided to give it a try. That was a huge mistake & waste of $40 dinner for two people. I didn't think it was possible for delicious Mexican food to be so Flavorless, undercooked & overpriced. Not only was the shredded chicken tacos absolutely flavorless but also rubbery/undercooked, SOGGY looking & tasting. Almost like it was microwaved. I can tell they are using very cheap quality ingredients...it was so bad that it seems intentional, to be THAT bad. I know how to cook Mexican food well and come from a family that cooks really good so I KNOW good Mexican food, and This is my favorite Mexican food restaurant!! It’s so authentic. I’ve been on the East Coast for a little while now and have tried many Mexican restaurants, and haven’t been impressed until I came across this place!
