This is the cutest little shop and tea house! My partner and I were travelling home from out of town and the need for caffeine was hitting hard - I did a quick Yelp search for what was nearby and Wendy's popped up with some glowing reviews.
The shop and tea house are connected, which makes for a nice experience - after ordering our beverages, we had the option to sit in the cute tea room or shop around the pantry shop. The owner was working that day and incredibly sweet. She had a lovely selection of tea (as one would expect at a tea house, but I'm cynical) and tea related gifts. If I lived closer, I would absolutely make a date for friends and I to come enjoy the tea house together!
As for the pantry - you have a wonderful curated selection of jams, hot sauces, candy, and more. I think I spent at least 30 minutes checking everything out (my partner is a big hot sauce lover). I also picked up some candy for road snacks (great selection of...
Read moreHeld a baby shower here and planned it from out of state. Wendy the owner was extraordinarily helpful and accommodating. She was a great point person as we also had a gluten free menu catered in from Suzea's, a nearby neighborhood business. Despite unexpectedly coming down with the flu on the day of our event, Wendy had her family come in to help and we were well taken care of and not left disappointed. The side room was quaint, comfortable and set up beautifully and felt like we were in a homey Victorian family room. The old school candy shop which also has local goods was charming and a lot of fun to browse through and you won't be able to walk away without buying a few tempting goodies. The tea is also wonderful and highly recommend the chai which was rich, creamy, and frothy. Our family and friends all had a wonderful time and will definitely stop by again when we are...
Read moreDriving back from day in State Park when we noticed a coffee shop. Although it was scheduled to close soon, owner, Wendy allowed us to shop and instead of taking our respective tea/coffee to go said we could sit in the sweet eat in area for as long as we wanted to rest. Small town hospitality at its finest!!!!! Great teas, licorice, baked goods and couscous (that’s what we purchased) yet everything looked delicious (sweet) and reasonably priced. Place looks as if it may have been an apothecary in the early 1900’s...great woodwork and display cases. Obviously, I really took notice😃 In summary, worth stopping in, if only for a look...
