Lange's Little Store — Restaurant in Town of New Castle

I've wanted to leave a review for a while about this place, but never did because I don't really like leaving negative reviews, but today was the last straw. I've been going to Lange's for the last 3 years, and everything I get is always subpar.

There is an older gentleman that works there, and he's so rude, either yells at customers or just acts like we are all beneath him. Ask for a coffee, he gives you an eye roll because he has to make it. He never says "thank you" or "you're welcome"

The wait can be long. The food is crazy expensive for what it is. The cutlets are bland and the breading tastes weird. They put so much mayo on my sandwich today that it slid all around the bread any time I took a bite, the food would fall out of the bread. The lettuce was browning, so I took it off. It was such a mess, mayo everywhere, I ate maybe half...it was impossible to even take a bite. Any time I've gotten a BEC, it's been flavorless, with a chewy bun, and rubbery, undercooked bacon. How do you fail at a BEC? Come on.

Drive the extra ten minutes to Rocky's in Millwood. They almost never disappoint. Prices are about the same but food is so much better, made with care, and the staff are...

🤢 I’ve lived here for ten years and Lange’s is awful. Breakfast sandwiches are not bad because it’s hard to mess up eggs and bacon. But everything else is subpar on poor quality breads. I’ve tried supporting this local deli for years, and I’ve purchased everything from chicken parmigiana to pancakes and cold salads but all are lousy and overpriced. The last straw was the undercooked cheeseburgers served on hard stale rolls; the burger meat tasted really bad, maybe it was freezer burn. I’m done with Lange’s and I do not 👎🏼 recommend this...

Been here a few times when I'm working in the area. Your better off parking across the street and walking over unless your lucky and get a spot in front. The staff is usually polite. The place is clean and has a small area to sit. The food is pretty good. The breading on their chicken cutlets alittle weird though. The prices are pretty high in my opinion for the quality of food you get. I expect more(not the quantity on the sandwiches that's fine.)
