Was looking forward to this place as it's locally owned and by the water. But once we got there we were disappointed. The inside area is nice and clean. Bar area has about 5 seats, small indoor dining and a large patio. We chose outside as they touted water views. Yes there is but of the marina and only if you sit in a certain side of the patio. The place opened up at 11am. We arrived at 3pm. There was only the bartender and cook there. The cook took our order and when we asked what wine and beer they had she had to keep running back inside to check as there is no wine or beer list on the menu. We finally went inside so we could see. Basic beer selection and Sutter Home wine only in the little bottles. Wasn't bad for the price of $4 each. The biggest downside was the food. We ordered the Shrimp Boil that advertised "Louisiana flavor". Corn, potatoes, andouille sausage and shrimp. Anyone that's had a boil before knows that everything is cooked together in drawn butter. This was the worst "boil " we've ever had. It was a deconstructed boil on a paper plate. Everything was cooked separately. Potatoes were not cooked all the way through, only one small piece of corn and mediocre sausage. The "Louisiana" seasoning was literally Old Bay sprinkled on everything. We also got the shrimp cocktail. Walmart shrimp with a small cocktail sauce that had Kraft Cocktail sauce on the label. This was not worth $40. The cook/ server was great but we do not recommend and will not be back. We Love to support small and local business so we hope that this...
Read moreWe were very excited to try this place and support the local community. There were 5 of us and we ordered pretty much everything on the menu. The waitress/owner could not tell us her favorite thing on the menu because…she isn’t a seafood fan, thanks for the honesty but you own a seafood shack. Anyway, Let’s start with the clams - do not get them fresh, they were terribly shucked and unless you like broken shell and sand in your clams, skip them. In addition they were not cold or served on ice, luke warm at best, very small too. The person who shucked them, destroyed them. If you can’t do them the right way, don’t do them. The steamed were a bit better but again sandy. We had all the soups and they were great! Fish fingers and clam strips were just okay but not horrible, definitely out of a bag. The hushpuppies were amazing, some of the best we have had. The boil was not really a true boil, deconstructed on the plate and sausage was tough and overcooked. Service was good - again owner waiting us, but she didn’t seem very confident about the menu or beer selection. The ambiance was nice but no views of the water. DW’s - you have a HUGE opportunity to have a great place. Get an expert in to help you with the menu. Not sure the air fryer method is going to work - I get it, healthier but you really need to figure this...
Read moreThey have great clam chowder and also the corn shrimp chowder was excellent. I tried them both. They have other food on the menu I tried the fish sticks they were so so. I didn't try the clams yet. Place was clean and presentable the staff was friendly. It's a little out of the way and hard to find I think they need bigger signs out by the road if they can put them there. And they need longer hours during the week which I'm sure will come with time. Once the car cruises start on Saturday night I would suggest they put flyers on people's windshields for 5% or 10% off to come down and try them. Because they are off the...
