We visited Olcott today and were really hungry at 2pm. It wasn't too busy at this place - but it seemed to take an extremely long time for everything. We ordered clam strips and garlic bread as appetizers. I also ordered a diet Coke which took 15 mins to come and was flat. I didn't ask for a replacement as I figured if this was flat everything else would be too and it took long enough to get this drink. It took 30 mins for the clam strips to come and the server said the garlic bread was still under the broiler. I'm surprised it didn't burn as it took about 10 more mins to come out. It looked like a deli sandwich roll with a slice of cheese on it. Thankfully our meal came shortly after. My husband's burger looked blah, large even patty that was not grilled at all, looked like it was baked in an oven from frozen, no seasoning. I got the chicken and biscuits. Hardly any chicken and the little biscuit had fallen apart under the mountain of gravy and pile of corn. We hadn't eaten all day so we ate it because we were starving. Nothing had any seasoning on it. Not worth waiting all that time. I would...
Read moreOut of town visitor - Mariners was fantastic!
The atmosphere in the restaurant is excellent. If youre looking for a small-town, fishing/boat themed place, look no further.
Our wait was a little on the longer side, but we were warned when seated that would be the case. This was primarily due to an anniversary event for the location, so I expect that wasnt the "normal" wait times.
Our party ordered a mix of mozzarella sticks, burger and fries, fish, and soup. All of it was fantastic and any dish that was beer battered was lights out.
As a note - Our kiddo got the children's chicken tenders, and the helpings were very generous. The picture i posted was the size of the kids meal, not the adult dinner. We were very impressed.
Our service was fantastic, with the waitresses doing very well despite how busy they were.
Would absolutely recommend as a stop and will be...
Read moreWhat can I say, Mariners is great. For a lower prices meal, their cheese burger, chicken wings, fish fry, and fingers are my favorite. I love seafood and steak and have tried I think just about all on menu at one time or another, all were great. They have a good size menu to choose from, something for everyone. If you want something small, try their coconut shrimp...fantastic! Thier black bean soup when available is sought after and people love their standard clam chowder new England especially and Manhattan too. Entire staff is always friendly and we always have a great time...
