I am so unbelievably and utterly disgusted with this place it's not even funny and their response to me on my complaint on Facebook is horrendous. I've never dealt with a worse manager at a business on my life. My comment on my review on Facebook, "This place is only getting two stars because I like the beer. My friend and I stopped in on our way back home from Lake Placid. The man who greeted us when we walked in a half hour ago was great and friendly. This bartender is absolutely horrid. We sat down, asked if they do beer tastings and she said yes, she filled the tasting glasses and put it down, not explaining what each beer was named, the tastes we could expect from each or even asking if we wanted lunch. We wanted pizza, but not now. She never even checked back on us. I've never had such horrible service in a place before. This bartender was basically ignoring us and we have been nothing but nice to her. Is it because we are two mid to late 20 year old females and everyone else here is an old man? I'm still sitting here while writing this, looking at this bartender (who is brunette, skinny with glasses) and she is completely ignoring us. As a bartender and prior server, this is disgusting. I can't even tell you what beer I enjoy, because I don't know what I'm even tasting."

To this, Blue Line responded, "Blue Line Brewery

Hi Kimberly, you have the right to be upset if you feel you received bad service and I will apologize for that. However, you do not have the right to disparage our other patrons. If you choose to visit us again, I would suggest putting your phone away and making eye contact with your server. It will go a long way to ensuring better service for you both here and at other restaurants I would imagine."

To this, I responded back, " You're kidding me right?? I was sitting there with my friend and only took out the phone after trying to figure out what the beers were for a long time without being spoken to. We were even looking to her to get a menu and order food. Both of us were looking at the bartender for service or to even say a word about any of the beers besides putting it down and walking away. I have never been more disgusted and your response is even worse. You NEVER treat a customer in this manner. Also, my phone will continue to stay close because my husband is deployed, fighting for our country. When he messages me, I need to get to it quickly. This was yet another reason why the phone was sitting on the bar, not that it matters because no one should speak to their customers in the manner you just have. Also I had NOTHING against your other customers. I had an issue with the bartender who ignored us, yet kept going over to the others at the bar and just talk without even looking to see if we needed anything. "

I have never been so angry with a business in my entire life. I have two business degrees, am a prior server, current bartender and have managed many businesses before. Never have I ever even thought of responding to customers in this manner. Do not go to a place that treats...

Tried this place out after a long day of hiking. When we first walked in nobody greeted us. After about 5 minutes the bartender walked by spilling a cup of wine saying it was for the kitchen and said he would be back for us, but didn't come back.We were finally seated after pulling someone aside to ask to be seated. We sat outside and had to wait so long that we went to the bar to get menus. Our server "Brandon" finally drops off drink menus. We place a drink order and he proceeds to bring them to us two at a time and completely forgets to bring our friend her margarita. When we ask him about the margarita he says that he's waiting to make it until we put in our food order. The waters we asked for were never dropped off either. The final straw was when we wanted to put in our food order and the server forgot to bring his notepad two consecutive times when he was dropping drinks off. We decided to just finish our drinks, not order food, and said not to bother with waiting for the margarita. We get the check and the margarita that we never got was on the bill so we had to wait for him to come back with the correct check. There clearly is a problem when we spent 10 hours hiking and the service was so bad that we would rather wait another hour to eat somewhere else then spend our money at this place.

Seriously...

Let start by saying beer was good. But everything else was terrible. We tried to call ahead - party of 5. Phone was answered, I politely asked if we need a reservation. The response I got from the man on the other end of the phone was aggressive, rude, and completely uncalled for. I was told “it’s Saturday we were busy 15 mins ago, we are busy now, and we will be busy in 5 mins. We’re busy when we are busy” We really wanted to try it out because other reviews raved. So we arrived and it started out well. The server was polite and she seated us immediately. This was only good experience we had We ordered 3 of the same beers and was given 4 different ones. Server was clueless about the beers. I’d love to say that the beer was great, but I have no idea what were were drinking. We know we need to order food - so we ordered deep fried mushrooms, tasted great but order was small and they filled the basket with wilted lettuce. Server was then pressuring / requiring us to order more food.

Good food, good beer, absolutely terrible service and honestly not worth it. Go down the road to Ray Brook Brewery for beer, food,...

We got there at opening and the waitress had an attitude right when we got seated. She wasn’t very welcoming and friendly. We ordered pizza and a salad. Pizza was not good. Crust and flavor were lacking. Her response was it’s Boston style and it’s thin and crispy. But it was more of a thin crust and wasn’t flavorful. They served the salad in a basket with a liner. So when the liner gets soggy it cuts through the paper. lol 📣📣TERRIBLE FOOD…. TERRIBLE SERVICE. 📣📣 1st time here. Not coming back Saw the owners reply. Ok fine, the pizza crust is supposed to taste like it did. I normally don’t provide feedback like this BUT to respond the way they did was rude. Didn’t acknowledge the service of the employee. Place is still trash.. some of the comments from the “owner” aren’t professional and is in poor taste. Must be pro-Trump… 🤣 If you’re in the area, don’t stop here. Not worth the money. IMO

Great beer selection with a menu that has a build your own pizza option, burgers, salads and wings too. These folks know how to make things simple and easy. Good quality menu and a beer selection that will please any group. Conveniently located and within walking distance of Gauthier's Saranac Lake Inn. The staff are super friendly and helpful and we're very accomodating despite us turning up as the kitchen was closing. Expect to pay around $14/15 for a pizza and $4 for a beer. Update: we went back a second time and had the the boneless chicken with the Gilly + Car Wash sauces which were both great, the Mac n cheese and the burger for mains which were both excellent. Highly recommended!
