NOTE: My rating is 3-1/2 stars. (I hope that someday Yelp allows us to do that.)

We were visiting Clark Botanic Garden (about 5 minutes away) and wanted to have some lunch. I opened the Yelp app to look for something fun / different nearby.

When I saw Fresco Creperie (5 minutes away; excellent reviews; girlfriend loves crepes!) I knew this was the place.

  • Initial impression * - I didn't care for the decor. Not exactly sure how to describe it - but to me it felt a little 'cold'. The restaurant is somewhat long and narrow (imagine a galley kitchen). The front has very large windows (which does help) but it still felt just a little claustrophobic to me.

  • The menu * - A decent selection, but I felt they were missing some of the "basics". I didn't see too many breakfast crepes. I like crepes that are almost like an omelet - scrambled eggs with cheeses (american, cheddar, swiss, mozzarella), meats (ham, bacon), and maybe some veggies (tomato, onion, mushrooms). It's possible they gave us a lunch menu (because it was around 1pm) but I would have liked more "breakfast type" options. I am also a big fan of mozzarella cheese and I did not see that listed as an option.

As far as what was on the menu, there were some really nice (unique) choices. Apple & Brie, for example.

My girlfriend tried the soup of the day (potato leek). Potato leek is one of her favorites and she said it was excellent!

Savory crepes are served with a small salad. It tasted very fresh and the dressing was really nice - a little vinaigrette, slightly tangy but not overpowering.

  • The service* - Things were a little off when we went. (I have to agree with Justin's comment: "Wait staff is a slow with brining out just our coffee or tea".)

Someone took our order fairly quickly, but then they forgot to bring the drinks that we ordered (a Pepsi and a Café au lait). It's important to note that once they realized they (1) brought the drinks right over, (2) apologized and (3) gave us the drinks for free. The Café au lait was actually quite good.

  • The prices * - Very reasonable. With our drinks being "on the house" the bill was around $25. No complaints there.

Would I return? Yes, but only if I happened to be in the area. The food was good but I don't think I'd go out of my way to get there.

Sweet 'n' Savory in Patchogue is still (hands down)...

Today, my sister and I visited this charming creperie for the first time, and we had such a wonderful experience. We both went for savory crepes, and they were absolutely delicious. My crepe had a hearty combination of sausage and potatoes, perfectly seasoned and satisfying. My sister opted for the crepe with tomato and cheese, which was equally tasty - simple, yet full of flavor.

The side salad was a pleasant surprise too. The dressing had the perfect balance of tanginess, and the salad itself had a great crunch, making for a refreshing complement to our crepes.

My sister also tried the Nutella drink, and she was hooked! It was rich, creamy, and just the right amount of indulgent.

What really stood out was the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The owner came over to check in and was so friendly, genuinely asking us about our experience. It’s not every day you get that personal touch, and it really made us feel appreciated.

Overall, the food was fantastic, the staff was lovely, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for delicious crepes in a...

I'm on the fence about this place, I didn't even know it existed until I saw a Groupon voucher for it. I've been there on 2 occasions so far for takeout, we had ordered the hedgehog sweet crepe, the lemon and also the strawberry dulce de leche.

I loved that the crepes didn't leave you feeling heavy and ready for a food coma but there was just something missing, maybe adding some texture in the crepe batter or as a topping......

The lemon was nice and basic but the citrus needs to be mellowed out a bit. The hedgehog crepe was good, but needed a bit more flare. My favourite by far was the strawberry dulce de leche which I will happily return for, if they reduced the amount of caramel by 25%, it would be pure gold.

I would also love to return to eat in, as I feel like the crepe texture would be best consumed immediately. Also their iced drinks look amazing. This place would really stand out if the exterior signs were more colourful and attractive, also the interior would do well with better lighting for a better ambiance.

All in all, a decent...

Fresco Crêperie & Café delivers exactly what you'd hope for-simple, quality food in a relaxed, no-pressure setting. The vibe is low-key, clean, and welcoming. I had the spinach, mushroom & Swiss crepe-fresh, well-balanced, and not overly heavy. Finished with a classic Nutella + strawberry crepe, and it hit all the right notes. Service was friendly without hovering, and the pace lets you actually enjoy your meal. Prices are fair for the quality, and it feels like a place that cares more about the experience than the hustle. Definitely worth a stop if you're looking for something casual, flavorful, and authentic.

Ooh la la! Are you in the mood for something savory or decadent? Or perhaps your own will enables you to enjoy a fresh, crisp salad while others take the incumbent leap. Fresco Creperie will fill your crepe with a myriad of things that when you close your eyes you can smell the aroma of a fine Parisian boulangerie. We tried their Chicken spinach and Gruyere crepe and their Ham and Cheese. Both were delicious and accompanied by a healthy side salad. Of course, we stayed for the dessert crepes. One Nutella and one Dark Chocolate and Banana. A satisfyingly fun spot to enjoy in Williston Park!
