This little neighborhood place feels cold and in a way it is. The layout doesn't seem as if they knew how to use their available space the staff is pretty good. They have a small bar area.
On to the food. Not disappointed. I think they are trying their best to elevate what they serve but there is only so far you can go. Because of the way the dishes are served, 4 stars is the best they can ever go. Their playing also feels cold.
I feel this place can improve so hopefully I'm right and they'll step up.
Fried Calamari was soggy/soft, not crisp at all. Bread is very pizzeria-ish. Their sauces are pushing being excellent but I don't think they can break the good - great barrier. It's good food for pizzeria, but you can see their trying to do more.
Side note, they have a lot of televisions playing various items. The last thing that the televisions should be playing especially around election time is extreme opinion-based news. This obviously made quite a few other tables extremely uncomfortable and tried to rush through their meals just to get out. This was simply the management not caring for the comfort of their patrons or just being too self absorbed to care.
This place has good food. I think they could be better in so many ways. I don't think they...
Read moreLove the fresh triangle bread made with pizza dough. So delicious and has a soft bite. It goes perfectly with the butter. I couldn't get enough so they were so nice to refill my bread basket with more BREAD! The linguine with white clam sauce with New Zealand and Little Neck Clams was very good. Had a lot of clam meat so well worth the money. The capriciosa pizza was good with fresh tomatoe sauce, fresh mozzarella, fresh basil, fresh artichoke hearts, prosciutto, salami, and black olives. The crust and dough was thin and crispy. Cab wine was good and at a fair price. Atmosphere is good with comfy booths and staffs are so friendly, I'll definitely come back...
Read moreWriting to tell you that the other day group of teens left the Funeral home nearby and walked to Angelina's for a quick slice. When they came back -four kids--they said that they weren't charged --the pizza was free! Drinks too. Who ever took their order noticed that they were in dress clothes and asked if they were coming from the funeral home---they were. No charge for their order! Isn't that nice! Thank you Angelina's. So thoughtful and kind. Most places would not do that! Really impressive! The Williston Park thing to do!
On another note: I love the goat cheese, salad slice. The yummiest thing! It has cranberries and walnuts and light balsamic. You guys...
