As a Pakistani, I was a bit skeptical about trying Indian food at Varli Indian Street Kitchen, located on Hillside, which opened its doors to the public on August 21st. But, thanks to my friend Adnan's insistence, I gave it a shot - and I'm so glad I did! Serving 100% Halaal meat, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Indian flavors.

Goan Grilled Pomfret: 4.5/5 Expertly cooked with a perfect balance of spices, the pomfret was a delight. The presentation was stunning - a treat for the eyes!

Bhel Puri: 4.5/5 A flavorful and refreshing take on the classic street food, with a generous portion size. The colorful mix of ingredients made for a visually appealing dish.

Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich: 4.8/5 A mouth-watering combination of juicy chicken, crispy exterior, and spicy kick. The sandwich was beautifully plated, making it almost too good to eat!

Malai Chicken: 4.5/5 Rich, creamy sauce and tender chicken made for a satisfying dish. The garnishes added a pop of color, making the dish a feast for the eyes.

Let's support this new restaurant and help them thrive! Varli Indian Street Kitchen exceeded my expectations, and I'm sure it will become a favorite for many. Don't miss out - visit them today and indulge in the delicious flavors of India!

Had an awesome experience at Varli. Firstly the halwa puri chola and aloo were just spot on in terms of taste. It had the perfect blend of spice and taste. Served with achar and onions made it even more delicious. Secondly the kadak chai with Parle G was another banger! The chai was truly kadak and with biscuits is very thoughtful as any desi would love to have such a combo. Lastly we were served a paan bite and it was just too good. The food and its serving is curated to perfection. The quantity of food is great too. The ambiance and decor of the place gives you chill kinda vibes which is perfect for people for a weekend hangout craving desi food like halwa puri with some really nice Indian songs played in the background. Highly recommend this place for a perfect weekend breakfast or evening chill...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Varli and I must say, the experience was made exceptional by our host, Nitin. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, Nitin welcomed us with a warm smile and a gracious demeanor that instantly made us feel at home.

Nitin's professionalism and attention to detail were evident throughout our visit.

One of the highlights of the evening was Nitin's impeccable service. He was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that our glasses were never empty and that we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. His timing was perfect, and he anticipated our needs before we even had to ask.

Nitin's genuine hospitality and charm truly set him apart. I highly recommend dining here and requesting Nitin as your host. You won't be...

I really don't understand how this restaurant has this many positive reviews. As people who know authentic Indian food, we did not enjoy any of the food we ordered. Nothing tasted fresh. Samosas (very tiny) in the chat and momos seemed like the frozen ones from Apna Bazar. The "butter chicken" sauce on the momos literally tasted like Campbell's Tomato soup poured on top. Pav bread for the keema pav was stale or felt to have been refrigerated for a long period. Dahi was sweet. Everything was overpriced for the poor quality. Oddly enough, some guy was shouting, "you guys should be closed down" on the sidewalk while we were eating. Would not recommend this restaurant.

A delightful and transportive experience! It had the atmosphere reminiscent of my earlier street-food days in India with a menu to match! This is not your “run-of-the-mill-regular-Indian-food-in-America” restaurant. I ordered the well-presented Amritsari Fish that was tasteful, which I made into my own kathi roll up, along with the aam panna drink that felt refreshing; I only wish there was more of it. This was my first visit to Varli, but certainly not going to be my last, as I want to try everything on the menu! I plan to go for the breakfast this weekend. Shout out to Vinod for great service!
