A BBQ Disaster – Avoid at All Costs
I had high hopes for this BBQ spot, but it turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. Simply put, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
The food was completely inedible. The fries were cold in the middle, completely unseasoned, and tasted like they had been sitting out for hours. The pulled pork was not shredded but served in unappetizing chunks, which is something I’ve never encountered before at a BBQ restaurant. On top of that, the sauce was flavorless and carelessly slapped onto the bun, offering no redeeming qualities to the meal.
To make matters worse, the service was just as disappointing. The staff seemed indifferent, offering no sense of hospitality or pride in their work. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant reflected this lack of care—uninviting and uninspiring.
If you’re looking for quality BBQ, this is not the place. Save your time, money, and appetite for a restaurant that actually puts effort into its food...
Read moreLooking to try something new and decided on bbq without having to travel to the Bronx. The platters are good for two people so I ordered a combination of platters to feed 6 adults, which allowed me to sample the chicken, pulled pork, and ribs. I also ordered sides of chicken wings, sweet potato fries, and zucchini fries with cucumber dip. Two of the platters came with fries and cole slaw. I forgot which. One platter came with corn bread, which was not my favorite. The sweet potato fries were mediocre. Maybe better for dine-in option. The French fries were good and thick. The zucchini fries had a lot of breading for my taste but the cucumber dip was good. I used it for the chicken wings as well. The wings were dry by the time I got to eat them though. The ribs were great! Probably the best bbq meat. The 1/2 chicken was good. Wasn’t dried out. The pulled pork was good too. Will definitely try the fish...
Read moreBest BBQ we've had on LI!! We've been taking out from here for years now, and have never had a bad meal. In fact, They were all delicious. It's such a pleasure to find barbecue that's not slathered in sugar!
I want to point out that they do NOT use sugar in a lot of what they serve, making it an option for diabetics. In my house, we have a Type1 diabetic whose blood sugar is stable after eating Hickory's chili, spareribs and coleslaw. What a treat! Plus, their BBQ sauce is very low in sugar. Everything's unbelievably tasty.
Highly recommended...
