Mystique Hookah Lounge — Restaurant in Town of North Hempstead

So it might sounds so unusual, I entered the lounge with nobody there and then ordered some drinks on bar and all of sudden this guy appears and say you don't have a band so how you entered, i per my explaination I told him I came and saw nobody who asked me for cover charge, he said either you leave or pay $20 for cover, I said why should I because it's not my fault that you are not at the door and nobody asked me for any cover, but this short Bangladeshi looking guy asking me for freaking money as if I stole from him. I told him i not going to pay because I saw nobody at the door to ask me, but no he is like you leave or pay. I don't understand what kind of customer service is that because the other day my bill was $650 at the hookah lounge which I don't think anybody spends that much, maybe this guy needs to know who are the real customers for their lounge and then on top of which he is saying that my friends are misbehaving with bartenders, I said I don't have any friends at all, why are you even making that statement, upon asking the bartenders they said you are very good customer, I don't know what his agenda was for that day. Next time if I want to spend my money I will just talk to manger instead of this stupid guy, he is short, with beard, looks like a Bangladeshi and with hand bands in his hands, do not deal with this guy, if he can't be at door to ask for cover charge then why is he even doing his job, and then coming to me to ask me for entry fee after I have got my drink at the bar. If I go again, I won't ask for...

Disappointed. Came earlier in the week had a good experience with a Caucasian male server who had basic customer service skills. His professionalism made me want to come back.

Came during my work break on Saturday night 1:45 am & explained I’m in a rush just need a quick fix. I understood they’re busy but asked to do their best. Came out with a pineapple head and that’s when I knew I should’ve just left while waiting.

Double checked on the price given that I didn’t ask for pineapple head and told “$28-29” so I expected to pay $32-33 like I did early in the week. Ofc pineapple heads take time to warm up and need 4 coals(only 3 given)so I knew it was going to be a bad experience but chalked it up.

All that is whatever.. that’s not why im writing this review. After paying $41 bill I told one the servers with an Afro he was not honest with me bout the extra charge & mentioned other tables with regular kloud heads.

Apparently since I’m not a regular I won’t get that deal but I have to be subjected to deception and unprofessionalism still.. which is backwards thinking from this server. Why would I come back and become a regular if this is how customers are treated by the establishment? It’s a joke really.

Been going here very regularly the passed year and it’s become my go to spot for Hookah!! Not only is the location perfect the staff will truly keep you coming back for more. Terrence the manager is very attentive and always making sure you’re being taken care of, Osmund who also manages is one of the nicest workers there, very respectful and he’ll always make you feel comfortable, and Ruben is definitely one of the best he always makes an amazing top and keeps me and my friends coming back.

Atmosphere during the week (mon-wed) is very chill perfect spot to just chill, maybe have a drink, they typically play some chill lounge music these days.

Atmosphere Thursdays-Sundays are LIT ! Djs like Charlie and Shiarooz are always sure to play all the songs to get the crowd going!!

Vivian the bartender is amazing also ! Drinks are always perfect and don’t take too long. She is on point

There’s still always room for improvement but you’ll definitely have a good time if you come to this establishment.
