I ordered a pie, and had them deliver to my hotel room. I was told it would take 30 to 45 minutes; one hour later I called to complain, as I still had not received it. They told me they were running behind, but as my hotel was only 1 mile away from their location, I would have it in 10 or 15 minutes; 30 minutes later I called again to complain, as I still had not received my pizza. This time they told me it had already been delivered! I said that was not possible, as I had been sitting in my room waiting for the pizza. They said, "sorry, it was delivered." So I ordered a pizza, paid for it in advance, never got the pizza, and they refused to refund me the money! They said their hands were tied, as the delivery app they use for deliveries SLICE, were the only ones who could issue the refund. I called SLICE, they put me on hold, and they called Di Carlo's. Di Carlo's refused to give me the refund, and SLICE told me that without DiCarlo's approval, they could not issue a refund. Never again will I order from such dishonest people. Be careful when you order through delivery: Chances are you will pay for the food in advance and will...
Read moreThis is awesome the guys that worked at Alfredo's of Westbury on Post Ave opened their own pizzeria and they know all the original recipes and menu. The flavors are all there the pizza the garlic knots the calzones the pin wheels it's all there. I first patronized Alfredo's in 1991 and when they closed it felt like a part of my childhood was gone. Even though I no longer live in the area I always brought my family there whenever we were in town. Now that Di Carlo's is open it's like being back at Alfredo's when you go and eat there the same familiar faces the big smiles the taste, even some of the art work from Alfredo's is on the walls. I wish them the lots of success in their business endeavors and hope that they are around for many years to come Congratulations...
Read moreSo...freaking...FULL. I got an order of Pasta Alfredo, a Grandma Slice, and a slice of pepperoni for pick up to bring back to the hotel. All, absolutely delicious. I'm hooked, and now I'm getting a Gma Slice anytime I see it on the menu just to compare. It was delicious. The pepperoni slice is everything I expect NY pizza to be. Piping hot, sauce and crust was perfect. Best of all, the welcoming smiles of the staff and the friendly waves as I left makes me regret I didn't done in. I highly recommend this spot. I...
