Rock n Roots Vegan Eatery — Restaurant in Town of North Hempstead

THIS IS THE NEXT MOVEMENT! If I had to pick 3 words to use on my first time here today (2/1/24) I would say "that's Fk'n Delicious!" My wife found this place from Yelp and Google maps. I was surprised to see this place existed in Mineola. My usual spots were either Japanese ramen spots, Mediterranean, and God knows I hate salad. As a new vegan I love cooking my meals and rarely spending money on outdoor dining. But I'd drop money just to eat here. The ambiance is chill and I met Dina who was absolutely adorable and kind. The prices are good compared to many vegan spots. The food flavors are phenomenal and not bland. My burger cheese was not however top notch but it was amazing to say the least. I'm a cheese snob so I just had to be honest. But this burger was not dry at all. We ordered the Thursday loaded fries special, white bean soup, I got the sweet bean burger, and my wife got the Avocado Toast. And we got dessert. This place is clean and parking is not hard to find. They are also going to host a nice Valentines event. I love rustic restaurants with humble beginnings. And I can tell this place will be around for a long time. I invite all my vegans across the NY state and nationwide to try this place. Tell them Mick sent you. I'm coming back for more that they might ban me from coming lol

When I visit my mom in the area I always stop by and grab something to eat. I am a big fan of their chickpea tuna, I get is as a panini instead of wrap. I also love their signature sandwiche, it's super well made and delicious. All the ingredients felt fresh and healthy, but that also means the food doesn't sit for a while, you gotta eat the sandwiches within a few hours of being made and since they are so big I usually make it into two meals. In May they have this taco special and I wish I knew sooner because the month is almost over and I only have gotten one lentil taco and it was amazing, gonna get the jackfruit one next time. My reason for not giving 5 stars is when I called the other day I couldnt get through to place an order (first time that's happened of 4-5 visits) and because the juice isn't fresh made and can't be customized. A place like this deserves a good cold press machine that provides juice to properly compliment their delicious sandwiches. HERE is the place to truly understand that a Whole Food Plant Based Diet can be a life changing experience! So many feel, though they know it's a healthy diet, it is also one of limitations! I dare you to have a meal @ Rock'n Roots and NOT be completly satisfied! My truly 'carnivore' husband on having one of his favorites, Tomato Soup w'a grilled cheese was simply blown away! At the same time I also had a long denied favorite as a Vegan, a gyro, and it was also amazing! On Saturdays they have 2 varieties of 'carrot dog' that will knock you over and Thursday's Nachos are life changing! PLEASE believe me this is NOT hyperbole, what these folks do in that tiny kitchen is a thing of wonder!
