Ice cream is ok if you eat it on the spot. If you put it in the freezer to eat later, it’s horrible. The ordering process is horrendous. There are way too many people waiting on line in the store for too long too close to each other. The store is very long, but they give you to wait in a weird way on top of each other all towards the front. The ordering system is horrendous. After a long wait you get to the counter. It’s hard to see what you want because the menus are so spread out. I ordered 3 I e creams and dealt with 5 people. 5 people. 1 guy to the first part of my order. Then 3 different people took the next parts of my order There was no rhyme, reason or method. I kept having to walk up to different parts of the counter. This place has zero regard for Covid. Everyone is on top of each other. After dealing with 4 people a fifth was needed to round up all 3 parts of my order.
Also the amount of topping you can put in is a joke. The ice cream is rolled I to 5 rolls, so the little ice creaM you get looks like more than it really is the cup has very little extra room, so when you get a topping it is literally a teaspoon
No way they can social distance and be interactive the way they want the experience to be, unless they change the way the line flows, limit the amount of people in the store , don’t let people eat their ice cream in the store while waiting for their other family members and change their system of it being...
Read moreMe and my partner decided to come here after work since it was the only ice cream place open in the area and we’re so glad we did! The ice cream is phenomenal, not only do they have loads of mix-ins but you even have the option to make the ice cream vegan or dairy free which is absolutely amazing! I myself am not vegan or lactose intolerant but the fact that these are options is so cool and I’ll absolutely recommend this to my lactose intolerant and vegan friends! Also the staff is so sweet and patient, I ordered a snickerdoodle sammie through their app (which by the way you get a free mini as soon as you make an account!) and the employee informed me that they didn’t have anymore left since they were closing soon. She actually ended up making two fresh for me! Even after I said that wasn’t necessary and I wouldn’t want to put them through the trouble, she assured me it was no trouble at all and she just apologized for the wait. If anything the only complaint I have is the prices, it is a little on the pricier side but that’s unfortunately what most ice cream shops are like now so I won’t fault them for that. If you want amazing ice cream, cookies, waffles and nice staff this place is...
Read moreTaste overall was good. IMO they don't give you enough ice cream (with the waffle anyway). 10 Below (in Flushing) is a better hand rolled ice cream spot, you definitely get your money's worth - but I guess for a local spot this place will do. Honestly for almost $20 worth of ice cream (for 2 ppl) it left us wanting more. You'd get a better bang for your buck at Carvel (on a non-Wednesday).
The social distancing in the store was a joke. They should have a sign that limits the amount of people in the store. There were already a decent number of ppl in the store before us (maybe like 6), then right behind us came a party of 4, then a party of 6! Way too many ppl in that small a$$ space. "If" we go back I'd just get the regular sized iced cream, I think their other desserts though they look cool aren't really worth their price (size...
