I really want this place to make it, but I don’t think it will unfortunately, as my wife and I were the only table there on a Friday night at 7pm. I don’t hold this against the restaurant in my review. My beer was cold, her cocktail was good and the waitress was very nice. But the food was absolutely terrible, especially when compared to the very high level competition in town. The smash burger had zero flavor, the stag burger just tasted like maple syrup and the fries were very dry, like freezer burn straight into the deep fryer dry. The buns were even a little stale and flavorless. This place could be good if they can manage to get their food in line with the quality elsewhere in town. Also from the outside, if you didn’t know this place was there, you would probably just think it’s a house. The small signs in the windows are nearly invisible because the only real lighting is behind them. The vinyl siding just makes it more house like too. Nothing attracts your eye here. I truly hope the food changes and I can revise this review. I’m also suspicious of all the 5 star reviews. But that’s just me.

I was there with my family for dinner and I don't usually do reviews but I felt this was well worth the time. We ordered appetizers which were muscles that were absolutely delicious so we had a side of fries that were thin cut that im not usually a fan of but if all thin cut fries tasted like these id have a totally different opinion but my favorite of the appetizers was the butternut squash dish and for my main meal I had the duck it was the best I've had that I can remember my wife had the Cod that she loved and my mother in law had the lamb shank that she was going on about how tender it was so she shared some with us and I already know what I'm ordering next time I go. Lastly the drinks we had from bar were spot on.. Also one of the most important things is service, which was extremely attentive, friendly and helpful. We are definitely going back and if you are thinking about going I...

We had the most amazing meal at The Stag’s Leap. As a group we had the Asian short rib which was superb; full of flavour and very tender. The sea scallops were fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. We found the savoury Goat’s Cheese flan very satisfying. The Risotto, Caesar Salad and Duck Confit were all exceptional and of high quality. The staff were very attentive. The restaurant/bar has a separate area which would be perfect for a private party. We would highly recommend...
