Pita Gourmet — Restaurant in Town of Orchard Park

Super fast service, nice staff, very clean. Prices can't be beat! Food was excellent. Had the Chicken Soulvacki Wrap, husband had Buffalo Chicken Wrap. It's nice because they make your food right in front of you, so they can't make mistakes unless you tell them the wrong things to add. Lots of toppings, dressings, sauces. First time I went I did make the mistake of ordering a pita pocket, which from the pics on web looked like the nice thick soft ones, and the wrap I thought was like in a tortilla shell...well pita was stuffed dry pita. I wanted what I seen pics of which is the wrap...they take whole thick, soft pita, heat it up, put everything you want on it, then they fold it and wrap it in paper so you can eat it without it coming out. I won't make my first mistake again. However you like your pita, they really do stuff a whole bunch of things in each so they cost the same. I will definitely be...

Nothing against Rachel’s, of course, we love it—we were just hoping to try somewhere more “authentic.”

Turns out Pita Gourmet isn’t quite that. It’s pretty similar to a Rachel’s, but with different decor and a different vibe.

And that’s not a bad thing!

We experienced solid service and enjoyed our food. Every Mediterranean place we try for the first time, my wife always goes for falafels and I always go for gyros. We sampled a bit of each other’s food and found them acceptable.

While not exactly the “authentic” Mediterranean experience we were looking for, we found Pita Gourmet to be a decent place...

The first time we went was ok but the dressing was almost completely all oil and was just dripping off of the salad. Also the Greek dressing wasn't a good blend of seasonings. My husband and I decided to go for a second time tonight and I couldn't even eat mine and he didn't finish his. Mine had a funky taste then when I finally got to cutting the chicken it was pink and under cooked. Needless to say I'm hungry and it just went in the garbage. My husband ordered a Buffalo chicken wrap and they put bbq on it instead and the entire thing was covered in dressing. He had a pool of dressing on the plate after trying to eat it.
