El Imperio del Pan Bakery — Restaurant in Town of Ossining

I was looking for a birthday cake, but didn’t want to go the usual route of Carvel or Shop Rite cakes. So I gave this place a call. I wanted a Tres Leches cake but it only came in a serving size of 10-12… way too big for my needs. The lady that answered was very helpful in explaining this to me and also told me that they had a strawberry cake that had a Tres Leches layer in it. I told them that I would pick it up within the hour and it was still there when I arrived. The lady I spoke with was very helpful and packaged it nicely for me. The cake was moist and tasty… the strawberry glaze was a bit much for my liking and a bit too sweet, but overall it was a great cake. Fernando and Jaime, the current managers and owners, have undertaken the task of baking various Latin American goods from scratch to make them available in Ossining. El Imperio represents a commendable effort to offer a diverse array of baked goods through a predominantly Ecuadorian lens, aiming to cater to our wonderfully diverse community.

Amazing little place! The man that helped us was extremely nice. We are from GA so we assumed it would be pricy, but this place is very inexpensive. And the food is fantastic!

My wife got a jelly donut, some bread, and a chocolate covered cheesecake. She said it was great!
