My friend and I stumbled upon this place after visiting a friend and we are so glad we did!! So many options. It was buffet style so you could grab a container fill it with whatever you wanted and then pay. They also offered fresh juice. We also got fresh sweet plantains as well as tamales to go. My friend got pernil (sorry if I butchered the spelling) and white rice. I got stewed chicken, rice (2 different kinds), cheese potatoes (I thought it was cassava but unfortunately it was not). The food was good. The prices were very reasonable. I just wish the buffet items were labeled as I don't eat pork or beef. Some things I could identify and other things I couldn't. I ate the tamales a few days later. They were good I just wish they had more meat inside. I would definitely go back!!

La Placita at Las Americas has quite a history here in Ossining as a fast, reliable eatery. The quality of the Latin/Ecuadorian food is consistently very good, and the variety available throughout the day is impressive. I highly recommend this place, especially for takeout. The dine-in environment can be a bit loud and sometimes crowded, which is why I usually prefer picking up my order. You get great portions of home-style food at fast-food speed and excellent prices. I've been coming here for 16 years, and the food is just as delicious today as it was back then. I absolutely love this place.

Really good food. You get buffet style and then you pay by the weight. But i get to pick from so many Ecuadorean dishes that like. I wish i had a place like this in NYC but definitely recommend for the good food and price. I paid $20 for plate, soup and soda. Too much food had to take it to go.

I knew las americas from many yers a go, when the time the food was not sale by weight. I can say the flavor, the smell of the food, the natural juices, the variations of plates never changed. The salad bar they have is maybe the new theybuqve from years a go, but the amazing food it was and it is now. You have to choose from at least 25 types of food, chicken, meat 🍖 and in a few minutes, you are ready to go or to eat on the big salon they have on the site. You have to try the natural juice section. All you want or all you can fit in your dreams for a Natura juice in a a 🥤 I will post photos later on, I didn't today because I was with my son and need to pick up something for him and he was asking for all the names of the food he saw. Jorge and his family do a good job in the two las americas they have. Try it and you will go back again. In case you want to know what type of food they serve,...
